A good start is to hold yourself to the male standard. For PT test, make sure you can pass using the male scale, not the bullshit women's scale. Also, make sure you can AT LEAST drag a 225 pound guy wearing an extra 50 or more pounds of gear.

Make sure you can shoot... Like really well. Strive for a perfect score on your weapon quals. If you can't get a perfect, at least pass the motherfucker on your own. I saw so many females have someone else shoot for them just to get them off the range.

There's a documentary available for watching on YouTube related to the Danish Frogmen Corps and what you have to deal with in order to get through it. No women allowed combined with a gruelling week-long fitness test to weed out the people who aren't suited for the job. You don't even need military experience and they give zero fucks about what you did beforehand. As long as you pass their tests, you'll be taught what you need to know.

Hundreds of people sign up for the test yearly and yet there have been less than 200 Frogmen since the Corps foundation in 1957. It's some cool shit.

Mariya Oktyabrskaya. She learned that her husband was killed fighting the forces of Nazi Germany near Kiev in August 1941 and she became determined to fight the Germans in vengeance for her husband's death. She sold all of her possessions to pay for a T-34 tank for the Red Army that she be allowed to drive it.

She was posted to the 26th Guards Tank Brigade in September 1943 as a driver and mechanic. She named her tank 'Fighting Girlfriend' and emblazoned these words on the turret of the T-34. Many of her fellow tankers saw her as a publicity stunt and a joke, but this attitude changed when Mariya began fighting in her first tank battles in Smolensk. Her first tank battle began on 21 October 1943.

Her first battle involved Mariya maneuvering tank in the bitter fighting; she and her fellow crew members destroying machine-gun nests and artillery guns. When her tank was hit by gunfire, Mariya, disregarding orders not to, would leap out of her tank and repair the tank, amidst heavy fire. During this action, she was promoted to the rank of Sergeant.

Two months later, on 17 January 1944, Mariya fought in another night attack that was her last. The attack happened at the village of Shvedy near Vitebsk. During the battle, she drove T-34 about the German defenses, destroyed resistance in trenches and machine-gun nests. The tank crew also destroyed a German self-propelled gun. Their success didn't last long however, and tank was hit by a German anti-tank shell, again in the tracks and was immobilized. Mariya immediately got out of the tank and began to repair the track, but she was hit in the head by shell fragments and lost consciousness. After the battle Oktyabrskaya was transported to a Soviet military field hospital at Fastov, near Kiev, where she remained in a coma for two months, before finally dying on 15 March. She was posthumously awarded the Hero of the Soviet Union award in recognition of her bravery in the battles around Vitebsk.

I know you lot like to shit on the barracks bunnies, and they should be shat on, and there are lot of them, but I've seen a couple really good women in my time.

One of them I'm still friends with,was an American nurse I met in Afghanistan when our FOB came under a really heavy mortar/rocket attack. We were hunkered in a sangar and one of the lads took a blast to the face right as he got inside.

We were calling on our PTTs for any armor who could come get him because he was losing blood fast and there about 300 meters of open space getting shelled between us and the aid station but no one was wanting to risk it.

Now I'm looking out the door of the bunker seeing if anyone's coming to help this poor bastard when I see this person running across this open courtyard to us. They were quite easy to spot, since she was wearing green scrubs.

Somehow, she got all the way across this field without getting hit, shoved me out of her way and dropped a pack full of medical supplies on the ground, set to work, and got the boy stitched up. Took about five minutes, then she picked up her pack and went right back outside and ran ditch to ditch all the way to her aid station.

Poor lass didn't even get a medal for that.
