Double edged axes are a meme unless you're cutting wood and even then they are still mostly a meme.

Tacticool shit
I just got through busting up a couple of stubborn oak rounds with mine. It isn't made for slaughtering anything but trees, but it's hand forged in Sweden. That right there is worth a point or two.
>>32684659
You just called a poleaxe decorative shit?
You fucking dumb shit
>>32684850
Because it's a decorative shit poleaxe. Not a battle worthy poleaxe.
>>32685049
How can you tell? Looks like the Museum Replicas offering to me, and they're battle ready as hell.

If I was to buy an ax for real work or something like the TV show Alone, I'd go with a pro ax. no point in getting some shitty husquarna/stihl....
This was my HD before I had guns.

The barbed wire adds +5 bleed damage.
>>32690173
it can also be pretty festive
>>32685049
1 it's an accurate replica of an actual find
2 it's fairly plain by pollaxe standards
3 even the most lavishly decorated and gilded arms fit for kings were "battle worthy" if the base design is sound, you stupid cunt
Unrelated: Best axe is gun

thats one of the most functional forms of poleaxe.
>>32690090
Fuuuuuuck.
I want Gransfors Bruks to start making their two lug bearded axes again. So bad.
Beautiful AND functional.
>>32692807
He calls it "a better one" and it's precisely the same head, you're all retards.
Made this about this time of the year in 2016 Sold it to a Swissfag. Kinda miss it. My first proper axe. 1%C 0,25% Mn 0,15% Si steel, young ash for the haft.
To be cont with other axe
>>32693234
And in case it's not obvious: It's not the same guy.
Pic related - my fuck'd up attempt at a Great Moravian bearded axe when I knew pretty much shit about the whole thing, spent way more time than I care to confess and the eye/shaft hole/whatever's angle is just wrong, and it doesn't hold. It's supposed to be put on a handle like a hawk. Also, back then, I didn't know how to make hafts and so I asked my acquaintance to make one for me. That was fucked even more. Would hold for exactly one strike before falling down on your hand. Had to wrap it in rawhide. The poll is WAY too big, the blade isn't the right shape, really... grumble grumble.
I'm ashamed for this one, but hey, I still got it shaving sharp, cut down a tree, made feathersticks, diced onion and sliced carrots with it when camping, so hey, at least it worked. Untill some idiot borrowed it to split some firewood... to my horror, I heard a nasty "tink" sound and realised he was splitting on a rock and struck it. Dammit. Then, when I repaired the damage at home, my dog chewed the handle to splinters. So, gg.
>also, have some goulash
>>32693139
I fuckin' love that one. Gotta make myself one later this year.
