LeMat used in the Civil War.
Taken at the Tennessee State museum in Nashville.
I should have fucking took pictures of the rifle and pistol collection I saw in St. Louis. Full custom flintlock set, probably ten guns total, ebony or ivory/horn stocks with engraved silver inlay, was one of the best things ever. They also had a little Landsknecht man in basically original kit, with a repro next to him. And 3 and a half suits of armor, one of which was pretty dope.
The whole thing was basically in a fucking closet in the basement, I don't even know if I was allowed in there. Modern art section was packed though, same with one of the 5 million paintings of lillies that pointillist fag monet did.
Actually found a photo of the gun case, feel free to yell at me for not taking photos.

Theres a guy in Dallas, Texas who has two of these. He tried selling one for over a year with no takers, wish i coud've bought it but it was $$$$
>>32682051
These pictures were taken at the NRA National Sporting Arms Museum in Springfield MO.

Seen one posted before

Pretty sure that's a prototype bergman, not a luger

Man, I'd fucking kill for a Cowboy Nugget. Gorgeous rifle, IMO.
>>32682299
Noice, reminds me of when I went to a stately home a few years back (Chatsworth I think? They've done a few films there etc), they had a pretty large collection of swords and rifles that the Duke had collected over the years, included a pair of ornate duelling pistols, a gorgeous looking Schofield and a beautiful dark-wood musket that was all engraved and featured in multiple paintings because it was the Duke's favourite gun.
Oh, and they had a bunch of swords too, complete with a yataghan with an ivory handle he'd gotten when he visited Turkey.
That and the "Shield of Hercules" were the coolest things in there.
>>32682362
I saw that too.
I believe he was missing quite a few parts, though.
>>32682404
Yes it's a real shame they don't remake them. A lever rifle but with a more modern spitzer round, internal magazine, cheap ammo and takes nugget stripper clips.

I feel like the hardest part of doing a clone would be sourcing that odd front sight. I see those handguards pop up from time to time and the rest is pretty standard, at least from a cursory glance

I love almost AK anything, but what is this automatic granatometa bullshit? Wouldnt 2 bolt carriers/bolts be really heavy? Wouldnt the gun need to be fairly wide? Wouldnt special ammunition be needed for the main functional barrel? Wouldnt 2 cases eject every fire? Wouldnt an obrez ductaped to the wrist be a much more viable option?
>>32681338
I want one badly. I just dont want to spend 10k on something that shoots unobtainium.
if I can find a source for bullets brass and load data then I will start setting aside funds for one....but last time I saw a round for one of these it was drilled through and still cost $150.
>a rare-ish gun, only 5k made.
>>32682129
they're around, you just need $2000 to get one
Does this count?
>>32689070
Selector in the bottom left for swapping between 12.7 and 5.45
Why would you need special ammunition? The bolt will be heavier so the Cyclic rate may be lower
Heavier yes - but 12.7 for when someone is behind wall, light armoured vehicle, special ammunition etc
I think both bolts cycle (as it is just one bolt) but it must prevent firing and ejection of the loaded 12.7
>dean adams revolver
>first double action
what do you fellas think?
same gun smith who owns this owns:
>.50 peabody carbine marked for the South Carolina militia
>rechambered double barrel 45-70 Damascus
>a somewhat rare semi auto machine pistol like the tec-9 but i cant remember the name
>first year production A5
>first year importation sks
>first year importation AK
>first imported AK in 5.56

What is the point of having a belt fed machinegun with a box magazine option when it uses a different caliber and magazines than other weapons in the squad?
.950 JDJ. 3 ever made, heavy bipod or lead sled only. In metric the cartridge is 24.1x70mm. If you want to hunt cargo ships, use this. First ever made was 50 pounds, and the other two were increased to 110 pounds due to the recoil.
>>32690947
What a piece of shit, I'd take an L-39 any day over whatever the fuck that abomination is.
>>32691009
>how rude
Well, the bullets do cost around 50 US Dongers a pop, plus they no longer make the bullets circa 2014. But it's totally worth turning an elephant into a pink mist.
>>32691042
>implying 10 rounds of 20mm HE wouldn't do the job better

American Eagle lugers aren't really all that scarce, they're just in high demand, which is why they're so expensive, but just looking at one site, not even dropping to gunbroker, you can see a couple dozen up for sale.
>>32691110
Damn, I really want one of these. Did you have to go all the way to Europe to find it?

Actually, the recoil supposedly isn't that bad. The pistol was made as proof of concept for a recoil reduction system.

The... 941? I think, anyway, was chambered for 5.56mm NATO after the wall fell in an attempt to salvage the project. Wasn't enough and the project slowly faded away, much like the G11.
>>32699234
Nah, just an FR F2. Current French 7.62 NATO sniper rifle. From the mid '80s, so it's much more modern than something like the FAMAS.

Eh, that guy is pretty lucky, but no where near the luckiest gun find ever. There was a guy that bought or found a 100 year S&W revolver. Worth $400 on a good day, but noticed there was some German proof marks and decided to look at the German pistol registry.
>registered in the early 1920s
>to one Adolph Hitler.
>sells it for $1 million dollars.
