I'd suggest the Beretta, but the Inox model is tacky looking, especially the current version with all the black controls on the ss slide and frame.

The Browning shouldn't even be an option. Get the CZ I guess. If you want the Omega trigger, make sure you get the convertible model so you can have the decocker instead of the safety.

Though it has to be said that current-production CZs have reports of rough internal finishing compared to their price point. You can get super-solid clones for less. My $250 Turk clone (SAR B6) has identical ergos to my 2015 CZ75B and the internals are actually cleaner looking. CZ's definitely better-looking though and they shoot identically. Tanfoglio Witnesses are also fucking solid.

But of the 3 you posted? The CZ, far and away.

CZ, no contest.

They make fantastic handguns, especially the steel full sized like the 75B and 75SP. They also make an especially great choice for your first handgun because they have just about the lowest recoil of any 9mm hand gun. That translates to them being far more comfortable to fire for extended periods of time, making you're more likely to actually enjoy shooting and will want to practice more often. Being full sized of course makes it easier to aim down the sights which is great for a beginner. Being solid steel and weighing in at around 40oz loaded, you can always beat someone to death with it if all else fails, and it will still shoot as well as the day you bought it. Also despite what some might have you believe, a full sized isn't that hard to conceal at all unless you have to wear a tucked in shirt in an office or wear skinny/tight clothes like a faggot. I carry a CZ 75 SP-01 every day with an alien gear IWB holster at 5 o clock position and often forget I'm wearing it, and I've only got about 10% body fat for what it's worth.

I got my Beretta 92fs first, then my CZ 75 pre B later. Both are excellent examples of reliable 9mm platforms. I trust my life to my Beretta. I haven't used the CZ enough to give it my same classification. Both are solid choices.

I have a CZ 75AA. My first handgun. I really do like it and I understand the newer versions like the B have improved grip and coating. But the one I have is fairly rough on sights and trigger pull and the .22 conversion kit, last I checked, was as expensive as the whole gun. It's a nice dependable field gun that has taken some abuse from me - I reload - and keeps on ticking. But I suspect that the other alternatives might offer more options in the sights and other customization areas.

I am partial to the Beretta, myself. I carry one, though not an Inox. Be aware that there are compact versions of both the CZ and 92. They shoot well and will be much easier if you want to CC them.

i got an ammo box today and 100 more rds for theis sat at the range. was thinking about picking up a third magazine for my cz...I think you guys said that mec-gar was teh one that made them for CZ anyway, right? is there a better price than $30?

It has both. there are multiple versions of the sp01. if your gun says omega or has the omega symbol on it its an omega. if it doesnt it isnt omega.

If you plan on using it for self defense, that automatically eliminates the 22 LR. See which ones ones you can rent at the range and buy the one you shoot the best.

Not starting a new thread, would the SD9VE be a good cheap first handgun for someone completely inexperienced to firearms? If so what would be the next reasonable upgrade assuming money isn't an issue?
