No, this is.
>>
>>32674241
the deagle is the greatsword of handguns

nobody is sure it really ever had a purpose and its heavier than it really needs to be
>>
The 1911 is.
>>
>>32674255

Holy shit, I knew 4chan was based off a Japanese image board, but I didn't know /k/ had its roots in Japan, too.

>>32674241
Fuck that giant gold plated faggot status symbol.
>>
>>32674241
is it wrong if I want to get a desert eagle to make it into a M6 pistol replica? like from Halo?

the M6 in Halo had a half slide, and it was fuckhueg so a deagle would be perfect

Ain't nothing wrong with that amigo. Plus it's actually a pretty comfy gun to shoot all things considered.

Using it as a sword is probably safer than having it loaded desu.
>>
>>32674241
The Deagle is the claymore of handguns, if anything. One of the ridiculously sized ceremonial ones. Not the ones actually used in battle.
>>
>>32674241
I can't believe the marine corps ever considered this as a side arm replacement.

single action revolvers are the katana of handguns, if you consider the somewhat comparable historical contexts. cowboys are to guns what samurai are to swords.

This, really. It's a lot of fun, though.

How's the brake? Did you it with the gun or have it installed later?

Funny thing is the early MkI's and MkVIIs were actually kind of reasonable. When they introduced the MkXIX in .50AE is when it got ridiculous.
>>
>>32676494
The Canadians considered something similar, the NAACO Brigadier. It was a scaled up High Power in .45 NAACO, which was later introduced for the civilian market as .45 Winchester Magnum in the Wildey Magnum.

No, the Glock 19 is.
>>
>>32676993
Got it installed after the fact from Magnum Research. Didn't know they offered it when I first purchased the gun a couple of years ago. It works really nice as far as taming what little recoil there is. Major downside is as with all brakes, the sound blast is pretty damn terrible, particularly if I'm at public range firing this thing off with my handloads. I pretty much preemptively warn folks next to me I'm about to start firing it so I avoid the dirty looks.
>>
>>32674241
No. The Five Seven is.
>>
>>32677921
I'm thinking about getting one put on the .50AE barrel. The .44 doesn't bother me that much. Plus I like to carry it in .44 occasionally.
>>
>>32678174
It'll certainly be super comfy for sure. Just make sure to double up on hearing protection and you should be fine, particularly if you plan to fire it at an indoor range.
>>
>>32674241
In the sense that fiction has greatly glorified both for completely incorrect usage and purpose? Yes.

>>32674265
The Deagle was always clear in it's purpose, sport and target shooting, and hunting if you want to go through that effort.
Recoil is mild and inherent accuracy is phenomenal.

Greatswords aren't heavy, and they were used against pike formations. Keep your autism in check.

Eagles are fun to dual wield. Ignore the massive amounts of lube...got a little excited when I was cleaning them...
>>
>>32679345
They are heavier than other swords and the pike formation thing is speculation that the internet has repeated so often everyone assumes its true.
>>
>>32674241
For what purpose was this pistol envisioned?

>>32674241
I would say the 1911 is the Katana of firearms in terms of sheer fuddlore surrounding it and mythical status rednecks and muhrines hold it to.
>>
>>32679680
But we know they've been used for certain, and the idea of using them as shock troops against pike formations isn't speculation, there's evidence and it seems like a logical implementation of the greatsword.

I want one and am tempted to get a gold one for the fuck of it. I just think it looks awesome. I realize its a meme gun but its still desirable to own.
