Not a fan of cocked and locked carry even though the p938 is supposed to be a great pistol

As said above not a fan of cocked an locked, an I really like USPs, but as carry pistols go they are fuckhuge low capacity blocks.

Please don't carry cocked and unlocked. You certainly can... but it's not recommended.

OP: have you handled either of these pistols? Is there a reason why you narrowed it down to these two?

I've handled the 938, but not the USP yet. I plan on FFing one this weekend.

I narrowed it down to these two based on lots of research and aesthetic preference.

They really are in two different classes, one is a subcompact and the other is a compact who's fat enough to play with the g19

Let's say you FF the USP9c and are still torn between the two. If it's your first pistol, pick the USP9c. It's a great all-around gun for CCW, nightstand duty, and general range toy. If you need a dedicated CCW, go with the P938.

I CC a uspc and I love it. It's probably one of my favorite guns, but I'm also looking to downsize my carry in the summer time. It really all depends on you because those are both decent guns.

FWIW, the USP9c was my first pistol. I carried it in a JM Custom AIWB wing holster but it was a conscious effort to conceal it (5'6" 160lb, tighter fitting wardrobe). I've since put a TLR-3 on the USP and left it faithfully in my nightstand.

I was very close to getting the the P938 but picked up a G43 w/ TLR-6 since I didn't like the small size of the P938's safety. The G43 conceals without a second thought and is a solid EDC for me.

Thanks famalam. I'm 5'7" 170lb and don't wear many loose articles of clothing either (suit/business casual for work), so I don't think I'd really try to carry the USP. Probably gonna go for the USP (assuming I like how it feels when I FF it) and only carry it to the extent of keeping it in my car.

I'll opt for the 938 or a smaller carry gun in the future I suppose.

USP is more of a duty gun (even though its a compact). it'll be heavier, and probably more expensive, but more versitile. It could be an EDC gun, a home defense gun, a range gun ect.
the sig is more of a strictly pocket or edc gun. You could use it for the other things, but it wont excel at it. It will be much easier to carry. Also consider DA/SA vs SAO and what you'd want to carry
