I watched AKOU for awhile. Although it ends up being just torture tests that aren't even exactly fair (some guns have certain parts swapped out right at the beginning, or when they fail, despite saying that it's instantly fail unless it can be fixed with only a paper clip or some shit). His tests look standardized, but not really.

I pretty much see it more as more just entertainment (akin to meltdown videos) in the guise of tests instead actually being consumer report. Maybe it's even profit driven (since he attracts money via giveaway entries), but I never actually looked at how much donations, profits from sales, or ad revenue he makes off each gun review though. He is at least up front when he is given stuff from the manufacture for free.

I've got a lot of problems with Taofledermaus because I'm pretty autistic about armor-piercing and wound mechanics and learning the science that comes with it.

- Ballistic gel gummy bears are a shit expansion medium. Just use a foot locker as your mold so we can see the entire track of the bullet.

- Make sure you're loading your rounds consistently, for the love of God.

- Please get more high-speed cameras. Please. And learn how to focus them.

- I'd love a chrono reading and a mass for each of the projectiles so's I can calculate the kinetic energy, and relate the actual penetration performance of the projectiles to what would have been predicted by numerous different penetration models. In metric units if I can choose because unit analysis is the bane of my existence.

- I love ForgottenWeapons because he's the Bob Ross of guns. Also, I like seeing really odd gun designs, and seeing old gun designs that I actually might be able to produce myself if I ever get good at machining.
- Jerry Miculek is basically a demigod, but needs to post more
- Hicock45 is like Jerry Miculek posting normal gun reviews, sort of. I like him because he's also really relaxing to watch, and reviews a wide variety of weapons from leverguns to full-giggle MP5s.
-DemoRanch is fun to watch because you can tell he's having just as much fun as you would, if not more.
- Taofledermaus is still good content. I especially like him for turning me on to AvE, who is the Canadian uncle I never had.
- I've watched a couple IV8888 videos, but not enough to pass judgment on him.
- Royal Nonesuch is kind of cute to watch fooling around with making guns out of scrap material. Lord knows I'd be a hell of a lot pickier about my own materials!

Not really sure. I watch hickok45, Mac, Ian, and Nutnfancy.
I like Hickok because he gives good close ups and general impressions. Basically a nice short close up on a firearm and its features without an opinion
I generally enjoy all of Mac's videos. His torture tests are pretty fun to watch and he sometimes puts interesting firearms out on the table
Ian is sort of a mixed bag for me. Like half of his videos feature firearms that I find uninteresting or feature info I don't already know or care to know. The other half of the time I'm throughly enjoying the content
Then Nutnfancy. I'll be honest I don't his videos in the traditional sense. I just pick ones that look semi interesting and have it play as background noise while doing the dishes or folding laundry. Only reason why I bother is because he does actually present genuine info about reliability and accuracy from the guns he features. I feel he cut out like 85% of his videos I think channel would be a lot more popular. His philosophy of use and other shit like that stinks up otherwise good info.

Also he shoots his own guns on inrange tv in two gun matches, he shot a course with a Madsen once which was cool.

He also shot a lati (spelling?) Anti tank gun on camera and that experimental bullpup Enfield rifle and a chauchat.

If he doesn't shoot it he'll generally give a reason why, like the ammo is scarce, the gun is really delicate or whatever but he gives you the technical data and history of a gun which most channels don't do
