Im going with lever for that wild west nostalgia
>>32668273
Falling block for that colonial glory and/or pre WW1 lmgs
To use? Automatic of course.
For the feel of it? Bolt.
For the AESTHETIC? Pump.
Short stroke piston with a rotating bolt
I have a thing for the m1 carbine
>>32668273
I've always been a fan of lever action.
Break action hands down.
Break or Lever action. Somethin about reloading a break just feels good.
Wish there were more modern top break revolvers. Those things are real neat.
For the feel, lever action with a big loop for the flippy load shit
>>32668273
Semi auto. If I had to choose between manual actions however I would take lever.

I work at a gun store.
>guy and gal walks in
>buying shotguns for her
>ok
>while she fills out the paper he wants to check out the precision rifles
>calls them assault rifles, they're all bolt action
>show him the mossberg mvp
>he closes the bolt , turns to my and says
>is it semi or fully automatic
>>32669377
god is dead
>>32668273
Semi auto for any practical purposes.
But nothing beats the slow, deliberate, meditative feel of a bolt action for a good day at the range.

Lever hands down

Bolt is the most fun shot per shot, especially the mosin where I get to beat on it for every new cartridge I put in.
But my favorite would still be select fire if I could have it at a reasonable price, so I'll go with semi auto just because looks are a huge part of what makes me love a gun and all the coolest looking guns are FA/SA.
Bolt and lever action rifles and DA revolvers are the most fun per shot, but of course semi auto rifles and pistols are more practical for combat.
>>32668273
bolt for reliability.
>>32668273
Bolt all the way. It's the most reliable of any but the break action, which is too slow to reload to be practical for anything but shooting turkeys and ducks.
>>32668273
straight pull bolt action
wonder why it wasn't used more
>>32668273
break action
but only because it seems easy to make and keep running
>>32674926
more parts to get dusty and wear out
>>32668273
Pump action rifles get me moist
>Pic related in honor of the holiday
Bolt>semi>lever>pump>break
I really enjoy the feel of loading a Mauser's magazine with a charger and throwing the bolt forward.
>>32674926
It's more complex than a Mauser 98 action and it's functionally identical to a semi auto with the gas turned off.
>>32675039
hehehe
Bolt actions are for meducational, a particularly enfields.
> Most of my range time for the last year is with semi because service rifle
> take 2 week leave to see family over Xmas
> take enfield to range with some friends who just bought .22s
> plink a bit with a .22, not really doing it
> pop enfield cherry
> tears, man
Its just so smooth
This one:

it's overcomplicated by just the right amount to still be a good idea.
>>32668273
I'm probably one of the few that like pump rifles.
>>32668273
Bolt action
The only reason for owning a 91/30 is the satisfaction it's cartoonish clickity-clack brings.
Break action
Mainly those old double rifles.
>>32668273
Semi-auto, but break actions and lever actions are pretty fun.
>>32675039
My friend said she just got one of those.
...Jenna, is that you?
Long recoil. Because Auto 5 is sexy af.
>>32668273
Break action, because chinese cartoons
>>32676276
dont say my name on here stupid
>>32668273
Depends what I need to use it for but just shooting? Levers by a mile. There's something incredibly satisfying about them.
>>32668273
Older pump action shotguns.
Slamfire is best fire
I have a fondness for delayed blowback rifles
>>32678248
You already told me it wasn't you.
My friend didn't get hers for the holidays, her father just happened to give it to her around the holidays.
