that's called get lighter plates for your body type. Also supplement this by doing shoulder shrugs with 20lb- 30 lb dumbbells to work your shoulder muscles.
>>
>>32664437
not to make excuses, but I did tear my left shoulder in 2014 and 2015, so there's lots of chronic pain/weakness. Ive worn iotvs for longer and felt better. I my shoulders feel like I just did a 12 mile ruck. now my back and knees dont, but my shoulders are dying.

and its not like I dont do shoulder work outs. I do plently of shoulder presses and bar pull downs
>>
>>32664388
Have you considered getting some shoulder pads?
>>
>>32664478
shit man that fucking sucks. All I can recommend is going lighter on plates and getting the best padded shoulder system out there. SKD makes a good padded shoulder system might help a little bit. But you need to cut some weight on your vest if you can. I don't know what color you need but here you go. If you already have a set then i'm stumped until I see the vest.

I bought this pc at end of 2015, 2 months after I tore shoulder the second time. without the shoulder pads it was so bad back then wearing the pc for 5 minutes would cause incredible pain
>>
>>32664601
You might just be fucked. Remove plates and try running just some weight in there and see if removing weight would even help

See a physiotherapist mang.
Dad dislocated his shoulder playing hockey and had it promptly relocated by ems 15 minutes later. Wasn't able to use his right arm to lift stuff heavier than ~30lbs and he's a very large man. Went to a year of physio therapy and his shoulder's a lot better now, he can use his right arm normally now.
>>
>>32664601
you might want to try HSGI shoulder pad or Mayflower Armor Carrier Padded Shoulder Pieces
they have a larger surface area and will distribute the weight better arcross your shoulders.

Damn I am really sorry to hear about your injury. Injuries suck.

Did some operating today with a friend. What do you guys think about holding the magwell of an AR with your supporting hand? I found myself doing it several times after transitioning to shooting after short sprints. Maybe it is my little Trex arms but my VFG felt too far away.

Also I did some kneeling shooting and decided I need some sort of knee pads. Obviously the CRYE integrated knee pads are cool but what other options are out there?

Also I borrowed my friends USGI flight gloves and they worked quite well. Decent dexterity. I was able to load mags with them on etc, and it was realitively cold, maybe 30 degrees F. Anyone here try the Magpul ones? Anyone know of a similar glove? The leather palms and fingers really appeal to me so that the gloves can dual duty for camp work.

Assuming you want MUH LOW PROFILE GREYMAN. Just get a backpack. For serious. Anything that's on an "approved operator greyman" list online sticks out like a sore thumb.

I've had a Targus backpack for like 5 years and it's held up fine to "EDC". This is an everyday pack, but it's not an innawoods or deployment pack, so it should be durable but requiring 9001D Cordura for something you are slinging around on campus or on the subway isn't really necessary.

If you still want something ULTRA STRONK, go to REI and buy a daypack. Plenty of Northface and similar shit. Just get civilian stuff, not stuff marketed as "LOW PROFILE TO BLEND IN WITH CIVILIANS OHRAH!" stuff.

It will not cause any mechanical malfunctions. I do not prefer it though because it reduces stability, especially for rapid followup shots. Try moving your VFG back by a hand's length and using it as a handstop rather than gripping it.

Flight gloves are excellent. They come in black, tan, and brown as well if you don't like the standard green.

Hatch makes good dexterous gloves with a thin kevlar underside.

Here's my mentality, if you need to shoot NOW and it's faster to get your hand on the mag well, put your hand on the fucking mag well. If your vfg feels like it's too far out, move it back a bit. I'm 5'8" and use a fully extended stock and reach out almost to the end of my 15" handguard. Hand placement depends on the situation and your body in conjunction with the gun.

Been toying with the idea of picking up some plates and a carrier again because autism and delusion...what do you queers think of this one?

Grey shop is fine to order from but they have anti-competitive practices and frequently try to get their competitors arrested or put out of business.

>Modox is trash compared to Sposn and Splav.
Proofs? Ive handled both and quality is negligible.

That would be great if I was associated with them at all but I infact dont give a shit where he buys it from.

Have tried on in person (with plates) and it is pretty comfy. Guy who runs the gear store up the road from me highly recommends them and uses one personally. Probably my next carrier.

Awesome. Figure the lowpro option(s) with the D3 plugged in would work well on my end, seems pretty comfy from the looks of it.
>>
>>32670078
Going to be a sweet setup once you get the D3 clipped on it. Make sure your read into the cumberbund options because there are a whole pile of them. If you are going to run the D3 100% of the time you can also look into https://www.velsyst.com/low-vis-carrier.html since its the exact carrier sans webbing and equally as comfy irl

I was looking at that one as well, but the LEPC seems more modular in case I want to change up in the future or convert to on-carrier dedicated pouches and molle and the likes. For the same price the LEPC seems more flexible without any drawbacks.

I'd opt for the CBN1 simple elastic cummerbund on either.

Tread carefully for a surplus dovetail mount if you can afford to future proof skip rhino mounts altogether. shit fucking sucks and is loose and wobbly as all hell. and dovetail will work with a pvs 14 and all high quality nods down the road.

Watch youtube reviews of this nvg unit if any trolls on /k/ say its shit then the only step up you could afford would be this gen 2 unit but you lose some resolution get 40 fov and get a huge boost in light transmission same site same code.

I do not have any armor plates from the uk. Just LTC,Gentex (opscore, BAE, My pouches and other equipment are from australia, UK, italy, and the US. Pretty much phased out all my soft armor stuff except for concealment, face protection and shoulder padding. But that is getting replaced with SB117 dyneema( The top of the line IIIA soft armor dyneema). which is light years ahead of spectra and has enough layers and specialized coating to prevent issues with contact shots.down side is its expensive as all hell about 560 for just shoulder inserts and face inserts.

I feel like if your gonna spend money on NVG's you might as well do it right. I dont understand the 'entry' 'starter' stuff. I mean if your plan is to end up moving up then why spend the money on Gen1 with low resale value.

3k is a lot. Especially to cough up for night vision. But if this is one of your only hobbies that relatively moderate/cheap in the grand scheme of things. I mean people buy 10k ATVs and jetskis all the time.

I'm considering changing my IFAK pouch to one of the zippper types. Removed back section since there's no point anymore since backpack covers that area anyways, and it's way too big with the back panel on.

The new ones had barrel contour of a sporting/fudd rifle so as you got them hot they would start stringing (like any other fudd designed rifle). The newer ones have a heavier barrel that helps get them down to around 2.5-3 MOA out of the box. Throw on an accustrut and you will get 2 MOA easy. Look at nutnfancy's videos on Minis for some more info about them. If I was in california you bet your ass I would own a mini14.

Looking for some recommendations for a chest rig and backpack combo. What i need is pretty specific so i need some help as i'm just getting into gear.

I need the combo to be fairly lightweight, no need for a plate carrier as I would be using the set for hunting.

I need to be able to retain good mobility because I'll be shooting while wearing the set.

I need decent size on the pack because ill be carrying some bulky items like a tent as well as a set of waders.

Chest rig doesn't need to be overly huge, just need it be large enough for holding loose ammo and a few other items like compass, flashlight, maps, lighters, and other things.

Id also like to be able to carry a radio on the chest rig because my buddy and I usually split up to cover larger areas, but we need to maintain communications.

Also would like to keep the combo under 250 if possible because college is balls deep in my bank account.

If you fellas have any suggestions id really appreciate it!

They usually do not clash, unless you're being a retard with adjustments.
>>
>>32681809
Not a big deal. I'd get a plastic buckle for the back of a chicom as the default knot might be a bit too noticeable feeling with a pack on.

Other cheap option is a FLC, which give you more room to attach things and tactical MOLLE for higher speed operating. They work well when you don't care about armor. You can get a UCP whole set with pouches for chea on eBay. Just dye or paint over the moon camo and voila.

i'm sure there are much better radios out there but baofengs are cheap as dirt and they work.

I found a new condition waist belt for my Hellcat ruck. The one sold by oldgrouch is NOT new condition. Last thing to get is a set of tan replacement buckles so all the buckles are the same color. Most sellers can't tell between 499 tan and coyote tan though. The quick detach tails for the shoulder straps are IMPOSSIBLE to find. The best I can do is get the male buckle and have some OD webbing sewn together. It will look kind of like the short lived Gen-IV woodland MOLLE ruck, but with the 1606MC airborne assault frame and a medium woodland ALICE pack. The pack is going to TT for some upgrades, too.

It's not bad. I haven't actually taken it out shooting yet, but it's just the two swiftclips in the front and the waist strap. Kind of makes the pack specific to the whole setup though, without the rack I have two long straps with the swiftclips woven in.

Don't use spray paint. Spray paint cracks on nylon gear on the moving folds and looks super ugly. It's fine in really light doses as a stencil pattern but I'd really recommend against it on nylon or other fabrics.

If you want to use Spray paint then you should probably use Krylon and finely layer it.
