g41 used a gas trap action. It would get very dirty very fast. Its one of the main improvements the g43 had over the g41. The g43 used a gas port type of gas system which is much cleaner.

Wrong, they used everything they had available due to the amount of sanctions and arms embargos they had. Alot of the G3A3s amd A4s were given from the Portuguese, while their FALs were smuggled from South Africa

This. G3s were actually pretty popular with Grey's Scouts because of the shorter length. Rhodies did use mostly FALs though.
