It's an open bolt design. That said, Alaska has laws that allow you to make full auto guns if you keep them in-state, and ATF can go bugger themselves. Not sure how much people want to test state vs fed laws though.

As this post says its an open bolt so even if it were modified to be semi only it is still illegal for the simple fact it is an open bolt. As far as the ATF is concerned open bolt is always full auto.

Has that ever actually been tested in court? Because the statute itself makes no mention of open bolt guns being regulated. The only distinction is between semi-auto and full-auto.

The ATF can bitch all they want, but if someone refuses to plead guilty, they'll have to prove their case in court.
