I hadn't hit the range in four months, I was pretty rusty at first but after the first box of ammo I found my rhythm.
Here's the best group of the day, 5 shots, 7 yards, 115 grain geco minor power factor ammo.

Also, you guys wanna watch some gun related material? Pic related. Currently running John Wick while waiting to attract interest.
>>32647468
More from today, the lower group on the USPSA target was shooting the decal groups, the high one is a 3 yard 10 round mag dump.
I use 124gr. Seems to work better for me personally than 115gr.
I mostly use 147gr.
I had some 160's that were truly mouse farts.
>>32647685
124 is my favorite range ammo, but lately nobody seems to have any. 115 as far as the eye can see, but anything higher is just defensive rounds. Sports Authority used to sell cheap Aguila 124 right down the road from my office, but they are gone now.
>>32647685
I like the geco 115 minor factors because from my gun- point of aim/point of impact is dead on at 25 yards, at 7 yards is a slight 12 o'clock hold, and with close range speed shooting I prefer 12 o'clock or dead on to 6 o'clock, as noted in my group pictures I bury the center of the target at 7 yards, hence why the groups generally print center to bottom.
>>32647745
I haven't purchased ammo from a brick and mortar in forever, it's just too pricey around here.
I generally just order from LAX, they might no be the absolutely lowest priced rounds on the internet but they are consistently competitively priced. All said and done, when I order by the case of 1,000 I usually spend around .21-.23 cents per round including shipping.
>>32647720
160 that were specifically soft target loads? That's fascinating.
If 147 target loads were generally more cost effective I'd experiment with them more, but alas.
So neo /k/ just isn't interested in streaming training videos and hanging out?
I buy online. There are 3 or 4 places I look for my 124gr. I buy 1000 rounds of Federal at a time. It runs around 250 or so. Now, when I buy 1000 rounds of 45, it's a different story!!
>>32648017
.25 cents a round + shipping, man I just don't notice enough of a difference in practice sessions to justify that.
Some places offer free shipping. My wife actually started us out on 124gr. She didn't do too well with the 115gr. We do, between us, 5200 rounds per year of 9mm. She, my wife, doesn't like my .45.
>>32649079
I wonder why she didn't like 115? Maybe it could be perceived as a bit snappier depending on the load?
Last range trip with my glock 19. For me this is really good. It was after two weeks of dry fire practice and some flinch drills. Shit pays off yo.
>>32649297
That's what it was with her. She had wrist problems, carpel tunnel. I figured if I'm buying 1000 rounds, I'll buy what she can shoot. Not going to buy 2 different weights.
Hell yeah, I love my FNS9. Nice group OP

Try the dime training.
>>32647468
>I was pretty rusty at first
no, you were shooting a fucking garbage 8lbs trigger and had to train yourself around a self imposed obstacle.
>>32649368
>Nice group
>7 yards
>>32649313
>It was after two weeks of dry fire practice and some flinch drills. Shit pays off yo.
It truly does, looks good bro, my fliers are generally like yours 6 o'clock, what range?
A seven yard group seems kinda meaningless broheim.
15 yards or more is where you seperate the wheat from the chaff. 25 is where the actual skilled shooters play.
>>32649350
I've come across so much variation in 115 loads, some are so snappy and fast they are more unwieldy than my carry ammo.
That's why I like the minor power factor geco stuff, it's light but doesn't shoot too low on the clock.
>>32649396
I carry a FNS-9c, I like commonality, not a fan of bullseye guns but I like to know I can control my shots, hence shooting groups.
>>32649413
>>32649449
I'm working a stock striker gun pretty hard here, sure it's nothing noteworthy but you can at least see the competency and consistency.
>>32649587
>you can at least see the competency and consistency.
I see nothing other than a guy that saw a cheap way into the FN brand, when he probably should have just bought a Glock
>but I like to know I can control my shots
you're biting the pillow
>>32649502
>>32649350
For example I bought 1,000 of this stuff, I have 300 left. I'm saving it because it must be hot as shit or something, every cylinder of 100 has kicked like mule relative to typical target ammo.

forgot pic

Wow, you're so intuitive and perceptive.
I try everything and buy what I like.
>>32649350
Both of these are super soft, the browning stuff is like airsoft, not really but you know what I mean.
>>32647745
>>32647820
i get my long .40 from Atlanta Arms and Precision Delta. i'd imagine you can get 147 gr 9mm too.
>>32649587
You can definitely push yourself harder.
This is an anonymous internet board, no one is gonna lie about being able to shoot "golf ball sized groups" like random e-thug faggots on the internet.
Tiny groups at 7 yards are pointless. Yes you are a competent shooter. Push to at least 15 yards next time, it's far more interesting and challenging. 8" - 12" at 25 yards, on command, is the gold standard. Anyone can get there with the right practice or instruction.
>>32650376
I generally go 8/10 on a 8" plate at 25 yards, I suppose I could try some groups.
>>32650376
>>32650466
I guess I don't see the issue here, I'm not saying I'm shooting awesome, I also see no reason to back out until I'm putting bullets on bullets, it's all relative, you can infer a lot from something measured with consistency. I mean, the Appleseed shoots take place at 25 meters, this is a similar thing, why not keep it small and simple.
>>32650547
To put it another way - the time to back up and shoot from further away would be when I'm putting 5 bullets on top of each other at 7 yards, at that point there would be no more measurable data and I would need to increase the test scale. until that point 7 works fine because it quick and efficient and I can analyze my shots given the instance, helping me learn better to intuitively know when I broke a goo shot or made an error.
Headshots add 3X damage.
>>32650850
noice shooting mr righty, distance?
>>32650941
six inches ;)
Friendly reminder that 3x5 cards are GOAT for shooting. You can get 100 of them for less than a dollar and you can do a bunch of different drills with them.

Great for simulating T-Zones too
gunday sunday bump. Shooting today as soon as this buzz wears off.
>>32650941
21Ft I believe.
About 1.5 shots a second
Any slower and my accuracy goes to shit.
>>32658459
Beautiful, yes rhythm helps so much with groups.
>>32650376
It was a nasty day, but I grabbed 50 rounds and my range finder and went inna desert.
>>32659514
I shot the first 15 in one group to figure out my hold, then went to work, these are the highlights. I'm glad you encouraged me to do this. Best group measured 3 3/4"
