Disassembly for basic cleaning: first you take off the stock.
And now you have a functional firearm that is now under 26 inches overall and was made from a rifle.
Is there an official exemption for disassembly on the books somewhere, or could this be considered manufacture of an SBR, and everyone who cleaned a 10/22 technically a felon?
Something something intent. Stop being a fag.
We should ban all guns that don't break down from the trigger assembly or barrel
Since the receiver is the serialized part, and is all of it that is considered a rifle, im gonna go ahead and say no.
I can type out a lengthy explanation if youd like but im drunk so i wont do so unless asked.

That's the law, 16" barrel 26" overall, rifle, 16" barrel 25" overall, short barrel rifle.

10/22s come with 18.5 inch barrels
the few factory models that are 16 usually have threaded barrels with flashiders that will make them reach 18 ish
either way they meet 26 overall with just the barreled receiver

A barreled receiver isn't designed or intended to be fired from the shoulder you fucking faggot.
