You can check the serial against known sniper serial blocks on the gunboards forums if you want to be extra sure - they do fake rifles with original scopes and mounts and punches but its unusual.
The receiver and barrel should appear unusually well-made for a wartime rifle, because they were.

Also you look tiny.

I've spent many hours fondling the rifle inside out, I'm absolutely certain this is a real sniper.

so I just compared it to a community database of ex-snipers, refurbs, and war-originals, and the two letter prefix seems to match a large amount of the serials there, the following four digits are also pretty close to the database (varying only by a few digits)

I can't comment on personal experience as I haven't yet been able to take it out to shoot, but the fact that these lasted a war and were praised by their users should have some credibility to their ruggedness. mine feels very solid
