What's a good budget single shot rifle? I prefer them over semis and bolt autos.
I'm thinking in either .308, 5.56, or something ridiculous and massive.
Ruger No. 1 in 458 Lott

.223? Thompson Contender. It's like 4 guns in one.

I really enjoy my Handi Rifle .357 mag combo with my Vaquero.

Was that originally a .410 shotgun, but you just had a new barrel fitted to it? I have a pardner model 410 that I want to have a few different barrels for, but have no idea where to start doing such a thing.

It's a .357 mag that I'm going to order a 12ga barrel for. The barrel swap program H&R used to have is discontinued now I believe. Before you could send it in and get a barrel fit for like 80$ it was pretty neat.
Henry just came out with a new line of single shot rifles and shotguns for 2017

Single-shot breech-loaders are the fuddliest of all rifles, so why not use a cartridge to match?

How many calibers?
Spend the cake and get a Lyman or Henry 45-70 and enjoy your shoulder cannon. They pack a fucken wallop
>>32625371
Anything less than a blunt 'most of them' would be disappointing.
>>32625437
Its all pointless unless they got interchangeable barrels.

I never understood single shot unless it was one of those multiple barrel dealies with a universal lower, and different caliber uppers.
Every type of action is superior with the exception of muzzleloading actions.
Is it a cost thing? I don't look at the prices single shots often, but they seem comparable to bolt actions.
I mean, I always hear the training rifle/safety arguments, but that's admitting your retarded. The I only need one shot argument screams of I am a no fun elitist.

They can lock up tighter than bolt actions and have better theoretical accuracy.
Fun to Hunt with.
Can be shorter in overall length because of small receivers and pushed back barrel.

Get a single-shot 12-gauge a set of these: http://www.gunadapters.com/scavenger-kit-12-gauge/

This reeks of noguns

Go home, OP
>>32626274
Significantly easier to reload than a single shot bolt action.
>>32626588
enjoy your no accuracy
I've gotten a real hard on for trapdoor springfields lately
>>32627910
sexy gun but fairly week chamber for a breech loader.
>>32619405
I have a mild election for one of these with a supressor.
I have a larger erection for one of in integral ruger .44 mag bolt actions, but the cost is substantial. One of these handi rifles would be cheap and about as quiet as possible for a non. 22.
>>32628282
44 special would be as loud as a wafty fart when suppressed

Haven't you ever heard of second kind of cool?
