What happened to the anon that was trying to 3d print the Vintorez rifle? Did it work out ok enough or were the measurements fucked up? I know the blueprints were uploaded and some other /k/ommandos downloaded them, but has anyone else tried printing them?

He realized he was retarded.

I believe the idea behind 3d printing it was to see if the dimensions were accurate enough to work, and not to produce a firing plastic gun.

You wouldn't need to 3D print it to figure that out, so it's pretty clear he had no idea what he was doing.

yeah! how dare anyone try to do something?

Do you just know the exact sizes of every part off the top of your head and just perfectly imagine them working together?
>>32607603
If I recall correctly (which is a big if), the CAD file(s) he bought weren't designed to make a working gun, just one that would look nice for video games or something

3D printing on plastic is not for knowing dimensions, it's for having a physical model of your intended concept, not a functioning product.

Huh? What are you trying to argue?
You don't have to actually make anything in order to figure out if the dimensions are functional. Hell, Inventor (which is what that guy was using) practically provides an easy button for it.
