The old ones are nicer looking than the new ones IMO. Depending on year the pistol and carbine have the same magazine, on earlier ones you can put the pistol mag in the carbine but not vice versa (or maybe it's you can put the carbine mag in the pistol but not vice versa, it's one of the two).

If something wears/breaks/whatever you send it to the factory, they fix it, they send it back and you keep shooting with it because they've all got actual lifetime warranties.

Glock clone for less than half the price. I have 2 sd9s and an sd40. Over 10,000 rounds of cheap bulk ammo out of my first sd9 with no problems besides a few dud rounds.

I also have a Bushmaster QRC that I got for $500. Again, never had any problems and I shoot out to 700+ yards with it.

I have a 9, it's been pretty great for its intended purpose but I watch Cops a lot and I feel like more drug dealers own that gun than anyone else. Also, my slide releases automatically when I put in a full mag with some forces. It's fun to watch new shooters startle when it does that but I can't help but feel a slamfire is in my near future.

I held one at my lgs (for whatever thats worth to you). It is a bit heavy, but its not nearly as heavy as I thought it would be. It honestly feels like a gun from DOOM in a good way.

I bought one not too long ago. I was on vacation, and the only thing I had excess of was generic $7 per box hollows. They started jamming third magazine, but round nose feeds just fine.

The fit and finish isn't the best regarding the rails, but for the money it's not bad

Yeah easy access to suppressors might be the only thing we have over you guys.
But we lack the means to really make use of them, as they are not used for hunting and there is no such thing as plinking in the desert. Too densely populated, no deserts.
Suppresors at the range are fun but pretty useless when the dude next to you is sighting in his 9.3x62.
