Would you recommend the USP?
>>
>>32590014
Meh.

M1911 will always be more reliable.
>>
>>32590014
Bump, also interested, also in which caliber
>>
>>32590029
are you memeing bro? Also what is da/sa vs sao
>>
>>32590014
Yes, personally I think the USP in .45 ACP is the best. If you want one for carry pic up the Compact.

Best Variant to get is the V1, which is standard. But you can upgrade to the V3 easily if you don't like the manual safety.
>>
>>32590014
I had one and loved it. Now i routinely carry my P2000sk, which is very similar.

Don't pay new prices though. I wouldn't pay over like 600 for a good shape used one.
>>
I don't really like shooting it but it works as advertised.
>>32590213
It's how the hammer works. When fired, the slide cocks the hammer back to fire again. But on the first trigger pull, the slide hasn't moved back yet. On a DA/SA, the pistol uses 'double action', where a longer and heavier trigger pull cocks the hammer then drops it. The trigger has two jobs, setting and releasing the hammer, hence the 'double' part.
On SAO (single action only), the trigger cannot do this, and must be set into a cocked position buy racking the slide or moving the hammer manually. It can only do a single action, releasing the hammer.
>>
>>32590243
DA/SA is pants on head retarded. /k/ hates it.
>>
>>32590251
No it's not.
>>
>>32590014
I carry my USPC daily appendix and i love it
>>
>>32590251
You misspelled DAO my dude
>>
>>32590284
>>32590316

It is, it's way to inconsistent. You hever know what your trigger pull is going to be unless the hammer is down or up. That's not something you can remember in the heat of a situation. Better to stick to DAO or SAO so you know what the next pull will feel.
>>
>>32590251
>>32590320
I fail to see how hard it is to remember that your first pull is going to be heavier and every other after that is going to be lighter. I'm a large fan of da/sa for carry guns while I prefer cocked and locked for competition/target shooting
>>
>>32590345
I'm sorry, but I just don't like DA/SA. I personally prefer SAO because I can remember to flip off the safety or just rack the slide to chamber a round and cock the hammer.
>>
>>32590320
Are you literally retarded?
>>
>>32590014
Yes, despite the fact that I am an admitted 1911 fanboy. I have a 1999 production USP .45 full size that was a Maine State Police gun and it has never had a hiccup of any kind. I also prefer the V1 variant and of the 30+ handguns I own the USP is what sits in my nightstand.

>>32590320
I carry a P-07 cocked with the decocker installed and effectively have a SAO gun.
>>
>>32590014
Yeah, it's pretty alright.

>>32590029
I'd argue the opposite.

>>32590251
Fuck off.

>>32590320
>it's way to inconsistent.
No it isn't.
It's either DA or SA, it's very consistent in this.

>You hever know what your trigger pull is going to be unless the hammer is down or up.
Or you:
1) account for the first trigger-pull
2) cock the hammer first
3) carry cocked
>>
hammershit is obsolete
>>
>>32591257
Strikers always have mediocre triggers.

Not because they're strikers, mind you, but because people insist on the quasi-DAO bullshit.

I shoot the p2000 better than any other gun I've owned so far. I haven't got the USP yet but I've fondled a couple. They're similar enough that the p2000 takes the USP compact magazines and has the same hammer spring plus who knows what else. So let's compare the USP compact to the p2000:

>p2000
Thinner for comfier IWB carry
Standard rail
Interchangeable back straps
cheaper

>USP
better trigger and trigger reset, depending on variation
can be upgraded with match grade components easily if you want
Is a USP which is badass.

So hell yeah get a USP if you want one. If you just want a conceal carry gun consider a p2000 though.

in this case, /k/ is correct in it's feels
>>
>>32590375
Good choice.
>>
>>32592896
my PPQ has a good trigger anon, but my Elite has a better one
>>
>>32595399
I just got rid of my Delta Elite. The trigger wasn't that great. Lot of slop in the take up and a bit of over travel. The break wasn't any lighter than a PPQ either.
