Looks pretty good. Only issue is that wonky chunk of metal forward of the trigger guard. Hopefully it's some recoil reducing spring setup that makes this space gun worth it
>>
>>32580424
An aftermarket light made by a dedicated flashlight manufacturer is always going to be better than what a gun company would produce. Go buy a Surefire and put it on your rail instead, faggot

It's not that it's run by a women, the problem is it is acutely specified, which makes me question their professionalism or understanding of reality.

Sure if they want gov contacts have a female CEO, but this was specifically placed in the article that has no bearing on that.

Wouldn't you be a little wigged out if a company went out of their way to state it was a male run cosmetics manufacturer?
>>
>>32581523
No?
You might be a bit autistic bud.

>>32581577
Because 9mm is objectively the best handgun chambering
>>
>>32581577
It's the caliber 90% of noobs buy. That doesn't mean it's wrong, it's just the common choice. Now that Obongo's leaving office, I think a lot of companies are hoping for a renaissance in gun manufacture, production, sales. It's not a dumb assumption, but it may be a little exaggerated.

I think they want this gun to be "a great first purchase" for carry. And they probably have hopes of mass producing these things and making millions. The best way to do that is to offer something genuinely new and sell it in 9mm.

I don't think it'll work, but I can see why they're trying. I'm going to wait and see what they really produce for sale. I don't like the "run by a woman!" angle at all, but maybe they're hoping to capitalize on the growing female market?
>>
>>32581572

This trigger safety worries me. The pivot pin is not at the center of mass so if the pistol is dropped back-end down the momentum might activate the trigger safety and the trigger. The SR9 was recalled for this reason
>>
>>32580027
Seems like it'd make conceal carry a little painful, especially if carried appendix.

here's the SR9 recall. The original trigger safety was not drop-safe. Moving the pin to the center fixed that.

You would have to make it easily removable for replacement and upgrading/modifying. That would also add probably $200 onto the price of the gun which nobody would want because they can't mount the light they like to it.

>>
>>32579673
It's a built in laser similar to the bodyguard .380

It's further down because the spring is lowered so they could get that sick low bore axis. That thing will probably actually shoot very well. Super low axis plus extra mass on the front to mitigate recoil. I might think it was worth something if it wasn't engineered in America.

Its a small, unheard of (American?) manufacturer making a new metal framed gun. I guess the better question is what made you think it was going to be under a grand in price. Also with the msrp being $1150 I bet you will find a few used ones in a year or two for around $850-$900...maybe very high $700s if someone really needs the money.
>>
>>32589572
Maybe they'll be bought up by a larger company like Bond arms did with Boberg, another american designed pistol.

Hopefully hudson can score some PR event that will elevate their gun into a mythos like glock's "undetectable" airport gun meme

The funny thing is that I work part-time for $10 an hour at the moment, and based on the small amount of money I am able to slot aside given my current circumstances, I still consider this pistol within my price range.
I've always been that way.

I don't know whether people think guns should just be these cheap things that work perfectly, or if they just don't know how to manage money properly.

considering most people still think every AK should be $400 or less, it's not surprising when flip their shit if a handgun costs more than $500, if it's more than a Glock it must be overpriced shit.

I came up with this. Let's just say it's turning Perfection(tm) on its head.

I don't believe that it's not within most people's price range, for me it's just that I could use that money to buy different guns or more ammo rather than another doublestack 9mm. It's a novel concept for sure, but not enough to pay such a large markup in an already saturated market.

I'll be honest: I don't see the H9 being better than the 2015 Honor Guard. I'm not saying the Honor Guard was great but I think you get more bang for your buck with it. Image is H9, next post's image is honor guard.

And I guess, for me, I'm coming from a scenario where I have all types of shit besides a double stack nine. I've got single-stack stuff, rifles, shotguns, combloc pistols, and so on. But no double stack nine.

So I guess, entering in to that doorway, the H9 seems quite attractive. But I can understand why someone wouldn't want one

Anyone know what kind of magazines this gun will take? Crossing my fingers that it's something available on the market right now, so I can pick up something for cheap to offset the $1147 MSRP.

Doing a bit of Google-Fu, it looks like the prototype, at any rate, uses modified S&W 5906 magazines. The six witness holes and the oval dimple in the side of the mag seem to match up perfectly. Looks like the mods are a bit of electrical tape (perhaps to take up some slack in the magwell?) and another cutout in the mag body (probably to engage the higher mag release).
