I'm getting my gun liscence this week and looking to get my first few guns live in Australia so pretty limited. Going to get a lithgow la101in 22lr and thinking of getting the tikka t3 in .223 any suggestions on the .223?

Get a savage
A pump-action taking AR magazines might be appealing if you're willing to spend the money.

Do you mean a cuck license? LOL!

that one rifle all the cool kids are talkign about
it's like a Ruger Precision Rifle or something
uses AR-15 furniture for a great aftermarket, some new rifling geometry, etc.

imo all commonwealth friends should get some sort of enfield.
you cunts are pretty much forced reload anyways so .303 shouldn't be an issue.
Why .223 for a bolt gun if you don't have a semi to pair it with & share ammo?
Just get .308Win or 6.5CM like everyone else.

Weatherby Vanguard S2's are good. Heard good about Howa 1500's too.

Don't think that's in .223
Also they're pretty expensive.
I'm not saying it's not a rifle you wouldn't enjoy but it's not cheap (especially not after being shipped to Australia and put through the red tape), and I'm not sure a beginner would be able to put it to it's best use or that they'd be able to appreciate what a machine it is.

What are you shooting?
If I was crossing the ditch from NZ to shoot pigs, donkeys, camels, cattle or buffalo I would bring a 7mm rem mag or a .300winmag.
If your shooting goats and pigs .223 is fine but .243 would be better.
