What pistol would you recommend for a somebody's first handgun?

Any gun that's in your price range and you think looks neat.

Deagle brand Deagle.

glawk brand glawk

I'd recommend you go to a gun store, handle some pistols, find which ones you like.
Then preferably go to a range, and rent some to confirm your choice.
And tell anyone who says "Hurr get a Glock!"
Or "Hurr get [insert brand]" to go fuck themselves, and that you'll buy whatever the fuck you want.

Looking to spend about 300usd.
I think the deagle is neat but I don't want to shoot gold.

I don't have a gun range in my town. My range is my backyard.

I know I'll probably catch sme shit for this, but in the ~$300 price range, the best, most reliable pistol you can get is a Ruger P-series. The P89 is you want big, the P95 if you want slightly less big. Get one chambered in 9mm. Heavy, but will go bang every single time you pull the trigger.
Ultimate blue collar handgun, and I'm fucking triggered they stopped production to make a shit Glock clone.
For reference the only handgun I've shot is my grandfather's S&W Sentinel 357. Loved the fuck out of it.

$300 is going to limit your options a lot. You can find some decent stuff used for that price though. For a first pistol just go for a polymer body, striker fired, 9mm, medium sized gun. Rent a few at the range and get a feel for what you like. You might even find that it's worth saving up a few extra bucks to buy the model you like most.

>~$300 price range
Why are you so poor?

Just turning 18, trying to not work a ton to keep grades up for college. That and my house is 12 miles away from work and 20 from school so I need a car.

Canick TP9 SA or Elite.

Gen 1 Glock 17 mother fucker
I suppose you're having a relative buy it for you? Seeing as how you're only 18 (not sure where you live, varying gun laws n all). Anyways, bersa thunders are really cheap and very well made. They're designed after the walthrr pp & ppk series.
>>32575350
HiPoint you nigger.
>>32575668
Idk why but I always get massive Outlaw Star vibes whenever someone posts this.
>>32575758
No, I can buy at 18. Most minors have guns anyway because they'll have relatives buy. Like I have a friend with a full-auto AK and a glock 19 and he's 16.
>>32575772
Okay, either you don't live in the US, or you are completely retarded, full of shit, and should put your penis in a slap chop, then get a professional pimp to slap it.
>>32575350
Strongly consider increasing your budget to $400, as it will increase your number of quality options greatly.
There are several offerings from SAR Arms (Sarsilmaz) and Tanfoglio in your price range, which have good reputations.
The Taurus Millennium G2 can be found for $225ish, and although this model has reviewed very well, Taurus has a bad reputation in general.

SD doesn't give a shit. To own a fire arm you may not be convicted of a violent crime within 15 years, a minor under 18 years old, or convicted of a drug offence within the last 5. Also if you don't have a carry permit, you have to fill out an application, if you're buying from a federally licensed fire arm dealer.

Uhm... it's federal law not state law. You can't buy a handgun or handgun ammo from a FFL under 21
>>32576912
Still can pawn shop it then. Might just ask a relative then.
>>32575647
This is a valid reason

Get a hi-point.
