I think on the Rems you have to hold the bolt release button to feed more shells into the tube.

I found a marlin or a Martin, can't remember, at my LGS for $450 that was a trench gun without the shield. Has an 18" barrel, the ribbed pump, and an exposed hammer. Should I go back and buy it?

I got a repro m1907(?) And a cheapo AR15 bayonet to kitbash but the AR15 bayonet doesn't fit.

Is there such a thing as a well performing and good looking skeet gun that doesn't have H&H/Krieghoff-tier pricing?

My Stoeger does the job for now but I'm thinking of upgrading eventually.

Probably a Norinco. They're kinda iffy. For something you trust your life to, I'd go with something newer in design and possibly proven. A lot of newer shotguns seem to be cropping up with bad quality control issues.

Depends what you're after then: Browning citori for a trap gun or beretta 686 for field work (beretta was sig lighter side by side). Either runs right about the 2k mark and there are models for every purpose.

Friend of mine has an 1897 takedown brush shotgun he wants to sell to me. Serial number dates to 1901. Condition is ok, have not had the opportunity to fire, but the action works decently, needs a good oiling. He wants me to name a price; how much should I offer for it? Comes with the original cleaning rod and what he says is the original bag.
