Also shotgun thread

I think the mossy 590A1 with heatshield has similar A E S T H E T I C S if you're looking for a modern gat.
>>32571480
I was also looking at the stevens 230
>>32571821
530*
Will 20g 4 shot nitro mag do well for home defence? Can't find buck shot around where I live.
>>32574247
Not really, but you can make wax slugs if you don't have a choke on the gun.
dumping my pictures of shotguns in use.
>>32574717
The photo negative of this image was probably taken in LA a few years later.
>>32574864
i thought i had more.
i will post some personal stuff now.
Model 1897 for $250, supposedly in good working condition, Y/N?
Would it make for a good HD weapon or should I just invest in something modern like a Mossberg 500?
>>32571337
converted damascus scatter gat, now in 45-70
whats the difference between m-11 and the a5?
Figured out that my vepr will cycle cheap suprema ammo buckshot and bird shot quite well.
>>32574982
I think on the Rems you have to hold the bolt release button to feed more shells into the tube.
I found a marlin or a Martin, can't remember, at my LGS for $450 that was a trench gun without the shield. Has an 18" barrel, the ribbed pump, and an exposed hammer. Should I go back and buy it?
Buying a new scattergun for duc/k/ and goose.
Is the Beretta A400 worth it? Options? Experience to share?
There is an Ithaca M37 Trench gun being sold. https://www.inland-mfg.com/Inland-Shotguns/M37-Trench-shotgun.html Looks pretty awesome.
Why would you want to use a flechette round or a bolo round over a normal slug or 00buck?
I have no idea.
>>32574898
almost seems too good to be true
Bought the longest sleeve they had and it still barely fit.
Anyone know where I can have custom stocks for a Mossberg 590 made?
>>32577517
Puts the mosin to shame desu
>>32571480
That is why I did this
Sights can stay though.
I got a repro m1907(?) And a cheapo AR15 bayonet to kitbash but the AR15 bayonet doesn't fit.
Is there such a thing as a well performing and good looking skeet gun that doesn't have H&H/Krieghoff-tier pricing?
My Stoeger does the job for now but I'm thinking of upgrading eventually.
Brit here. Should I remove this sticker?
>>32577776
No, keep it on. Just like with those hats, it makes you cool
>>32577604
As soon as you start talking over unders you start talking $1300 for a used browning or beretta.
I got a used browning and i love it, but it's 28in barrels if that matters. I might jump to 32's in the future as I'm shooting mostly trap and redneck hand throws lately.
>>32577792
Ok. I removed the Mossberg dog tag that was around the trigger guard.
>>32577776
>removing an American flag
>>32577604
Ruger actually made a nice o/u believe it or not.
Just looking it up again I see they discontinued it again. You can however snag a lightly used one for less than $1,000
>>32577835
Now you've gone too far. Fucking Brits don't deserve to even be free
>>32574922
>Gen 2 Glock
Finger grooves really do ruin the little aesthetics Glock has.
Also, nice Remington.
>>32577572
I didn't know I wanted a heatshield and wooden furniture on a shotgun until now.
>>32574898
Probably a Norinco. They're kinda iffy. For something you trust your life to, I'd go with something newer in design and possibly proven. A lot of newer shotguns seem to be cropping up with bad quality control issues.
>>32577800
>>32577860
A couple grand is fine.
Even as a total shotgunfag I just can't see myself spending five figures and up for this.
>>32577847
I shall leave it on with pride.
>>32574247
Fucking buy ammo online then. It's 2017
>>32578911

El em ay oh

Just bought my first 12 gauge, Ithaca Model 37 Deer slayer. Has the slam fire feature I paid $265 out the door for it
>>32579697
Whats slam fire mean?
>>32579647
>Angled foregrip on a shitty
YAMERO
>>32579728
You can just hold the trigger and pump and as fast as you pump it fires.
The 1897 has it as well
>>32579647
What's the obsession with baby shit brown?
>>32579647
those r pretty cool
>>32579849
Anything with desert colors is more tactical
My HD gun. 870 popo.
>>32578206
Depends what you're after then: Browning citori for a trap gun or beretta 686 for field work (beretta was sig lighter side by side). Either runs right about the 2k mark and there are models for every purpose.
>>32571821
also the Winchester model 12 and Remington model 10. All had takedown riot gun models iirc. Remington related.
>>32577290
>>32578028
Would a used Norinco 1897 still be worth that price? It would be babby's first shotgun.
I was also thinking of trying to find an Ithaca 37 some time for ambi controls and the "it ain't me" factor.
>>32571337
How much do these go for? Newfag here. Also how short can you cut down before a shotgun becomes an sbs?
Seems as good a place as any to ask, I just got a 1957 A5 and the foreend is stuck in place, any of you guys know why and how to get it loose?
>>32571849
Holy /k/ube. Are you a czechfag? Where can I find you to fingerfuck that beauty?
>>32581594
Nein, NE /k/rautland.
>>32581723
Ah, shame. Beautiful shotgat, though.

beautiful piece
id dig a nice double barrel for range fun. something about loading two big 12ga shells into a break-action is just golden
>>32579756
That's a semi-auto so I don't see why that's a problem, other than making a Benelli M4 look less cool than it is stock.
My scattergats. I will own an 1897 before i die
Friend of mine has an 1897 takedown brush shotgun he wants to sell to me. Serial number dates to 1901. Condition is ok, have not had the opportunity to fire, but the action works decently, needs a good oiling. He wants me to name a price; how much should I offer for it? Comes with the original cleaning rod and what he says is the original bag.
>>32582026
Sauce on foregrip?
>>32577996
It's the only way to do it.
>>32583169
its stock yo
>>32581217
I saw some on gunbroker for around $700, though I think its normally more, for some reason.
18" or 26" overall length
>>32583912
18" barrel*
>>32583912
>>32583927
Thanks anon
>>32579647
the one in the middle looks fucking autistic tbqh
>>32575179
Worth the money you spend. Treat it right and the worst thing you'll have to do is replace an extractor.
>>32571360
Is that a marlin model 55? There was one for sale in Reno for 225 bucks that I missed out on. It had a full 36" barrel and everything. Goddamn college...
>>32582026
I have that pic saved. What is the the modifications to it?
