so I got a Vortex 3x magnifier in today and I was installing it on my rifle along with my Bushnell TRS-25 red dot
I noticed this black tar looking shit inside the sealed red dot. Am like 95% sure this wasn't there even yesterday. Its clearly visible looking through the sight, blocking off some percentage of the lower right field of view.
The sight still works fine apparently, but uhh.. what is this shit
Sealant squeezing out because you bought a shitty Bushnell. Send that shit back

Pretty much this
looking at some other pictures looks like other people have the same shit
I bought this this several years ago, doubt I can send it back =/

This makes me glad I didn't buy a Bushnell.
As for the Vortex 3x, I would just suggest you'd look at a Vortex Strike eagle if you're looking to get a more flexible optic. The 3 adds a decent amount of weight and has a VERY short eye relief, like no-to-charging-handle short. I still have mine set up with my red-dot, but I'm really considering buying a second 1-6 or 1-4

>By design, the LED light is secured to the inside of the scope with adhesive and may partially obstruct the 360 degree view
Holy shit Bushnell...
>>32561159
i'd just ditch the bushnell and pick up an aimpoint pro or somethin
>>32561422
> get an aimpoint
yeah I mean I've got a T2 micro on another rifle and it is a nice red dot. But this Bushnell was like $75 vs $700 for an aimpoint. It is apparent the Aimpoint is built better than the Bushnell but +$625 better, I dunno

Primary Arms Advanced Micro Red Dot. I've had mine on my rifle for close to 2 years and it's been a tank.

looks decent, thx

Turn the red dot on and look from the muzzle side, its the laser housing. How do you think red dots even work?

>laser housing
>coated in black tar heroin
