I have done extensive research and the most practical option uses the original stock. I think a collapsing stock (like an MP5) could be adapted but that would be custom work.
You could buy the ar-15 stock adapter, a folding stock adapter, and put an AR15 stock on it but I strongly feel AR -15 buffer tubes look fucking horrendous on anything that doesn't mechanically require them. There are no AR15 compatible cheap, non-buffer tube folding/sliding stocks.
Apparently you can fit a Magpul MOE handguard to the PLR 15 which fixes the horrendous default options. It requires some fitting. Even more if you want the folding stock to fold completely.
>>32563001
Basically the pistol grip goes as far back and down as the default folding stock does when folded. If it's going to be heavier bulkier why bother? It has to have some advantage over an AR to justify its existence and that is having a small collapsed length and light weight. It would be 4.5 lbs with a 9" barrel, and the SU26c is 4.7 with a 16".
>>32563042
This is the holy grail for making muh dream a reality and it's unobtanium. They made it inspired by some guys on arfcom looking for stocks for .22lr AR15s. Nordic Arms no longer makes it and I can't find it anywhere online. The more popular sliding MP5 style stock with a buffer tube is significantly longer than this one while collapsed and looks a lot heavier

I think they can look alright on shotguns and AKs set up with fancy modern furniture to match it (not too much rails though, keep it clean, plain plastic has an elegant appeal).
Adjustable length of pull I feel is practical (especially given that AK stocks are normally pretty stubby), and as long as the weapon isn't cluttered down with attachments (or worse, unused rails), I think it's acceptable.

No, I think it has proper welds, as well as a rifled bore, to avoid NFA classification.
That said, the originals probably wouldn't have broken within that few shots, but they weren't meant to be used all that much.
They had an expected lifespan of maybe less than 50 rounds ever.
The tell-tale sign that it's about to become dangerous is that the welding will start to give and the halves which make up the frame starts to split, then pinches the skin of your hand when you fire.

Literally just bought this (((DESERT EAGLE))) because of this thread. Thanks /k/
>>32555310
It was designed by a chainsmoking Minnesota Hebe gunsmith, and was made by IWI for contract to Magnum Research while Magnum Research raised the dough to expand their manufacturing capacity. The IWI Desert Eagles are the lowest quality, at least according to the designer about 10 years ago (I had him put a Criterion barrel on my Krag and he showed me his gun room when I came to pick it up).
There have been several minor improvements made to the design over 4 generations of production.
Bought this meme last week, probably going to get a beretta cheetah at the end of the month but still trying to decide between the .380 and the .32
>>32565629

Nice, you should handload so you can shoot it for cheap.
It likes hot powder loads and FMJ bullets, never use unjacketed.
Don't teacup it and clean it frequently.

I took it to the range but bubba I bought it from forgot to put the piston back in when he was cleaning it. So I ended up with a manual cocking deagle. Super accurate and recoil is next to nil even without the gas system functioning. I like it a lot so far, plus I found the piston and it's reassembled correctly now.
Also >teacupping
Who actually does that?
>>32571310
Some people do it on reflex because it's a pretty heavy pistol, but avoid the instinct because the magazines don't want to be behave if you grip the gun like that.
And yeah, the accuracy is superb, the barrel is THICC and the breech locks up like a bank-vault.
I feel ashamed for having become so enamored with it because I was introduced to it through Forgotten Weapons.
>>32556964

Yeah, it's genius really
>make it unlocked blowback and generally as mechanically simple as possible while remaining legal
>use local industry for cheap zamak casting, only has to use *some* steel for the slide (reinforcement plates), so that it's still strong enough
>final product is a really simple, clunky and chunky gun, that works reliably enough, shoots straight, and is indestructible
>all that in pricerange where most automatics are unsafe and low-powered deathtraps
I think it's about as cheap as you can make an automatic in service calibers which still works

These are cool for like 20 minutes but really kind of dumb. Honestly if I wanted an "antique" gun I'd just get a needle rifle firing paper cartridges. It's legally an antique, but you still use easy to find slugs and black powder and can sit down in front of the TV making cartridges. But once you have them, you don't have to spend a minute or two loading between each shot.
I just think you could get so much more for $600, like literally any percussion cap rifle, which actually reaches the point of range viability since it's not nearly as dangerous and still useful in bad weather.
>>32564023
lots, and lots, and lots of lube. literally just fill it up with wd40. I have a MAC-10 barrel extension that really increases the reliability, I think it kinda works like a booster on a krinkov.

Heh... not bad, kid. Not bad at all. Your meme, I mean. It's not bad. A good first attempt. It's plenty dank... I can tell it's got some thought behind it... lots of quotable material...
But memeing isn't all sunshine and rainbows, kid. You're skilled... that much I can tell. But do you have what it takes to be a Memester? To join those esteemed meme ranks? To call yourself a member of the Ruseman's Corps? Memeing takes talent, that much is true. But more than that it takes heart. The world-class Memesters - I mean the big guys, like Johnny Hammersticks and Billy Kuahana - they're out there day and night, burning the midnight meme-oil, working tirelessly to craft that next big meme.
And you know what, kid? 99 times out of a hundred, that new meme fails. Someone dismisses it as bait, or says it's "tryhard," or ignores it as they copy/paste the latest shitpost copypasta dreamt up by those sorry excuses for cut-rate memers over at reddit. The Meme Game is rough, kid, and I don't just mean the one you just lost :^). It's a rough business, and for every artisan meme you craft in your meme bakery, some cocksucker at 9gag has a picture of a duck or some shit that a million different Johnny No-Names will attach a milion different captions to. Chin up, kid. Don't get all mopey on me. You've got skill. You've got talent. You just need to show your drive.
See you on the boards...

It's a Glock style trigger. I assume when you depress the first layer of trigger it pokes the actual safety back in the butt of the new shell, and when you actuate the true trigger it uses a big stick to push the real trigger back in the butt.
>>32574003

>>32578103
Most pistols are blowback only. The Desert Eagle is a gas operated pistol with a rotating bolt. Blowback automags need a hell of a slide weight to work and not break everything.
>>32556335
There are units for it that are similar, but they're expensive as shit, and they don't have IR and illuminator because of legal reasons or something.
>>32556335
It is entirely possible.

>>32556335
>>32578535
To add, it'd be the LAM 1450, which is the newest model you can get. It's an updated, civilian legal LAM 400. You can't get the 400 or 1400 because the FDA regulated IR lasers to prevent someone from blinding people without any trace at long range. It's retarded, but them's the breaks.
>>32578566

Sorry, clicked the wrong key. Anyways, you cannot find a legal 1400 or 400 on the civilian market because it is restricted to military or LEO only. If you find one, it's government property, which is illegal to buy and sell privately anyways.
If you could find a seller, then it'd be like buying an optic from a former military guy. Keep quiet and tell no one it's military.
>>32578850
Guess we can't play gear queer. Funny how no one cares about dangerous IR radiation when the military is using it.
>>32578980
