I paid $200 but this was several years ago and the seller didn't know what he had as mine is a pre-armistice from 1939.

Expect to pay around $450 for a post-war refurb these days. They'll shoot about as well as any other milsurp, about 2 MOA or so, maybe better.

If you like milsurp rifles I highly recommend getting one, but ammo isn't exactly cheap or readily available so you should probably consider reloading.

Is it possible to completely disassemble the mag floor plate? The button is really gummed up and I havent figured out how.

Yeah, it's pretty simple. Just depress the button and remove it, then you can pull the spring and follower out.

Probably grease or cosmoline in there. Spray some ballistol or some mild dish soap in there and it should free it enough to allow you to remove the floorplate.
