Doing 5 pull ups is not a top priority. You should be able to do a couple, but the most important things are how fast and how long you can run, how much stuff you can carry, and how accurate you are with a rifle. Most other stuff can fall to the wayside if you're good in these areas.

There are a multitude of situations in service and in deployment where you simply don't have time to use tactical carry harness nor even lift the thing on your shoulders. You will not know beforehand how long you will have to carry things with your bare hands. You just don't know it.
