I keep waffling on what handguard to put on my pistol build though. I was thinking ALG and then people soiled it

So I took y'all's advice and committed to an SR-15, but now I face the real question:

Should I get an Mlok or a Keymod? KAC sells 12 inch rail segments to turn keymod into a quad rail, but nothing like that for mlok. If I got keymod, I'd get the rail segments as well.

One was minor, it was the green/red variant and the red died.

Replaced with a red only from the factory and it stopped working all together after a weekend and about 800 rounds. Sent it back and had them send me a magnified optic instead for one of my deer rifles. Cool thing is they comped the $150 difference between the two optics which went a long way in telling me how strong their customer service is. Probably just bad luck as Vortex is usually good for budget dots and optics. It was also the very first gen/wave of dots they put out.

The end teeth hold the entire tool on the barrel nut. Rat fucker broke removing the barrel nut, and the other side broke after this pic installing it. I managed to hit my torque twice before it let go though, so that's probably the last time that rail will ever be removed.

I hate keymod, but it's what I got at the time because it was the only one avaliable and I don't feel like spending 200 on a rail that does the same thing but looks slightly better
If I ever do another AR build I'll buy the mlok and just trade them, but at this point the rail has served me fine.
