yeah you would need the lens to be next to your eyes in order for it to fix anything, otherwise you are just looking at a big magnifying glass.

That said, if it's using a display on the inside of the helmet then you don't really need to worry about glasses since it's right in front of your face like a computer monitor unless you're farsighted or something.

Know the cheap selfie drones with cameras on them? Those, only it has half a pound of C4 on it. Fly it anywhere! Can be planted in advance for an ambush. Put it under enemy vehicles, fly it into buildings through windows, or just use the camera to keep watch and only detonate when it's found out. Endless fun!
>Pork lined mini tank bomb
Taking the fun of the flying bomb a little further, kebabs will run in fear of this little tracked terror! Inside of it's thin plastic hull is a bacon wrapped explosive! Put it out in the open! Kebab won't touch it in fear of a pork explosion and the bacon doubles as a tasty emergency ration!

A battalion sized group of autists trained to maul and then cannibalize enemy combatants. Retard strength provides virtual invulnerability to small arms and also gives ample ability to take down a man in hand-to-hand combat. Enemies will instantly become demoralized upon hearing their autistic shrieking. Assets, which are worth far more than the autist battalion, must be called in just to level the playing field and are taken out by supporting units. Autism will effectively become the most powerful weapon a conventional military could utilize.

You can place lens at any distance from eye. But the wider lens is the thicker difference needs to be between center and edges of the lens. In case of visor-lense thickens penalty would be humongous.

Just wear contacts. Or you can mount prescription lenses on the inner surface of the visor so they sit close to eye like is done in safety glasses.

A hybrid drone that can run on electricity or fuel. Fuel to climb, solar to glide, fuel to fly faster.
Longer range, more loiter time. Probably wouldn't be able to carry much of a payload though.

Something i noticed is that almost all of the existing non-lethal weapons either don't work or do harm people.

Tazers used to accidentally fry certain people or straight up stop people's hearts.
Now people just sorta walk off unphased by them

Beanbags sometimes kill people. as do rubber bullets.

Teargas can apparently suffocate people too.

solid foam is not permeable. If you don't believe me, try this experiment at home:

Or you could seal yourself in a styrofoam coffin.

Directly over the shoulder could work maybe, would HAVE to be suppressed and the soldier would have to have some earpro on that side for sure probably. Someone else will have to lead them to safety, which removes another opponent in a fight. The soldier would still have to be fed and treated, taxing the enemy's resources. If they are left behind, they can be easily captured.

We could have pistols that can pierce tank armor with a shaped explosive charge. But no... no one wants to make those... Lame. How come I come up with amazing ideas that I don't have the math to make.

Tbh if anybody here wants to be the real Tony Stark all you have to do is make a ruggedized drone capable of either dropping explosives, or exploding itself around enemies from a distance. If you could make it reliable, easy to use, and all weather it would make front line gunfights a thing of the past.

No, the reason that gun failed is because it tried to have both actions operate with the same pump mechanism (trying to not be an assault rifle?). I'm hardly a doctor yet, but if evolution has taught me anything, it's that anything is possible. Yes, that includes the possibility of your cleanser virus mutating and attacking people you don't want it too, but that can be mitigated. My theorized solution is to anticipate this and preemptively release a countering version of the virus that is meant to provide inoculation against it. Like cow pox and small pox.

Say you wanted to decimate Lebanon while leaving the rest of Israel intact. You inoculate the Israeli citizens with your vaccine a couple months before hand. It requires large sale government involvement and secrecy. Ideally it would be spread through multiple means; mixed with water, regular vaccinations, ect). It also would provide immunity to any ethnic lebanese living in Israel, but we can't fret over every egg when we're making the mother of all omelettes, here.

Then you disperse your virus in Lebanon. This method doesn't actually require that you use an ethnic cleanser virus, any virus designed to lose it's mortality rate over a few weeks would work. But we're using Lebanon as a test sight here so we may as well see how it goes. The fact that the region is effectively almost entirely sealed off by sea blockades and Israeli walls means the threat of spread is minimal.

If you're still horrified by how I think, don't worry. As I said, making a cleaser virus work requires a huge amount of people working on it and to disperse it. No one guy could do it, and I am just one guy.

Reminds me. on my 10 hour nightshifts of being by myself I ended up brainstorming faction ideas for C&C: Generals mods. This is probably /v/, but /v/ sucks and there's a bunch of stuff I wanna ask about that they don't know shit about, thought about making a thread to ask, but this one seems like a good place to do it rather than take up space with a new thread.

One idea was a general that was a this timeline's version of the EVA, but rather than being an assistant interface for the commander, it is the commander, a commander with direct control of its drone forces. Apart from the usual drone units, every vehicle is now also a drone. They don't get veterancy like human units, but they all get linked targeting like the patriot missile system (for those that haven't played Generals, the US get MIMs as their defence building, which get to expand their usual range to fire at targets spotted by other MIMs within a certain range), meaning once one tank spots you and starts shooting, every other tank within range to link also starts shooting despite normally being out of range. So long that you have power that is, low power and the system shuts down and they're back to being normal units.

Cont next post.

friendly-predator-missile.jpg

>>32553456
The trade off is no paladin tanks, stealth fighters or aurora bombers, and infantry is more expensive to pay for all the necessary land warrior crap so that they can actually orders from the EVA, infantry also don't get the added range, but can spot for drone vehicles. The reason for the lack of specialized units is part balance and part fluff that the US military doesn't wanna get it's newest fanciest toys mixed up in a test drive for another fancy toy. For flavour reasons, I thought about dumping the F-22 raptors and commanches in favor of QF16s and either some missile bus drone or droned up version of older attack helicopters. Every unit with a carry capacity also gets to spend it on a number of additional drone assistants based on thier carry capacity, meaning chinooks, ambulances and humvees can act as hives for drone swarms. Humvees also get a hunter killer package upgrade that trades their carry capacity in for stealth and more firepower, because apparently hunter killer drone humvees with a anti tank weapons was a thing the US military was playing around with a back in early 00s, saw it on discovery channel.

Anyone got any other ideas or knows of other related real world projects that could be worked into this? Trying to base as much of it on either real world concepts or borrowing concepts from other C&C games. Also, would it make more sense to use other drone converted jets instead of QF16s? The game takes place after the second Korean War which supposedly happened some time in the 2020s. Also, when turning an MBT into a drone, would it be easier/smarter to build it from the bottom up and make use of the lack of need to make room for the crew or just grab a current MBT and jam an RC kit in it?
