If you're a robust german with lots of money, I don't see why you wouldn't get a civilian HK416. It is heavy and reliable. It is also german. I haven't handled any other german firearms out of HK/Walther so I don't know about other rifles. I don't know weapons available over in germany as I am a burger boy.

My only personal recommendation is a BCM Recce 16. I've used just about every government issue rifle you can think of in the US military in 5.56. M16A4 was my favorite for accuracy, M4A1 for weight, and my Recce 16 is a compromise between those two in both weight and accuracy. For hunting though I would definitely go with an 18" SPR. After looking at Schmeisser's page, I'd say pick up an LMR and put a Swarvoski Z6i 1-6x scope on it.

LMT in either 5.56 or .308.
Accurate, light and very good.
I have a 5.56 myself and am seriously considering buying a .308 this year.

Or get an HK416 since its from your country, thats also a upper tier rifle. Its top tier here in the states because we cant get them.

I concur. DD is a solid choice. BCM is also another one that i think tops the quality/price ratio a little better than DD but it's all preference. I really want the DDM4V7LW model someday or a custom built DD rifle once DD has that option running again.

Radical Firearms are total shit. I bought one. Bought it from Primary Arms. Looked like it was dragged behind a truck. Tons of stuff wrong with it. Stripped screws, crooked handguard, etc. Send it back to Radical. They tell me they took care of everything. Get it back, looks exactly the same. Nothing fixed. Said fuck it. I disagree, DD is a much better value than BCM shit. All DD barrels are CHF chrome lined, unlike BCM and their rails are top shit.
