Why do you think it didn't sell? It was stupid as shit and overall a bad performer, the only sales they ever really saw was collectors who thought they were interesting, nobody EVER used these for anything practical, and for recreation they had pretty limited use, way too expensive to plink with.

How does it not?

>gun consists of two zinc castings and a steel tube
>magazine has no feed lips so you're not doing any tactical reloads ever, because all the cartridges will come flying out
>has no accuracy outdoors because the slightest gust of wind will offset it's trajectory at the muzzle, you'd be really lucky to score 8 MOA on an average day
>ammunition was really expensive to make, and frequently it wasn't manufactured properly with uneven jet-vents, so that's even more of an accuracy issue
>you will never handload for a cartridge like this

It was thinking out of the box, completely unique compared to anything else, and anything else.

I would like to point out the gyrojet carbine looks rad as hell.

I think the concept still has potential with newer better propellant, but would probably still be unusable at many ranges due to burn bans.
