Only problem is it's going to cause states that want to limit CC to eliminate it all together.
>>
>>32531854
Unconstitutional. They have to at least formally allow it, and then their cucked residents can get a CC from a non cucked state and carry in their own cucked state. this is all beautiful beyond belief

>>
>>32531943

I read it, it looks like you can get out-of-state CC to me

> and who is carrying a valid license or permit which is issued pursuant to the law of a State and which permits the person to carry a concealed firearm or is entitled to carry a concealed firearm in the State in which the person resides, may possess or carry a concealed handgun

notice it says
>pursuant to the law of a State
>a State
it doesn't specify the person's native state
>>
>>32532039
>bitch about taxes?
Just keep knocking down laws.
It's that much more work they'll have to do to rebuild gun control later, should it ever come to that.
>>
>>32532264
It will depend on a lot of legalese.
>will another state issue their CC permits to Califags?
>Constitutional carry states don't have an actual permit to issue anyway
That wording - "the state in which the person resides" may get (mis)applied by CaliLaw to apply to the first part "a permit issued pursuant to the law of a State" then get the 9th Circuit circlejerk for years until Scotus
>>
>>32532402
Pretty sure all Constitutional Carry states except maybe Vermont still have concealed carry permits that you can get.

t. lives in AZ which has Constitutional Carry and I have my CCW
>>
>>32532264
It sounds like it works just like gay marriage.
>>
>>32532476
Worst case Florida out of state license. Oh I would love to see the Delaware legislatures faces if this passes
>>
I can see the commiefornia politicians reeeeeeeing already.
>>
I read the bill last night, and the way I read it, it wont change much for those of us who already have a CWP. The bill states that my CWP has reciprocity in those states which recognize concealed carry and constitutional carry. It says nothing about Illinois, New York, or Commiefornia that dont recognize concealed carry.

I was optimistic about this law, but after reading it, I am not so sure any more.
>>
>>32533867
it basically says that if you have a concealed carry license you can use it in any state that has concealed carry allowed
>>
>>32533867
All of those states do recognize CCW permits from their own states. This just forces them to recognize permits from out of state.
>>
>>32533867
Currently no state is "no-carry", and good luck making an argument for outlawing CC, much less making it hold up in the supreme court
>>
Everyone ITT is getting it wrong. There is no scenario in which Californians are going to get CC because of this law. Nor will any out of state CC holder receive reciprocity there.

Stop dreaming califags
>>
>>32533882
This and I forsee a lot of New York using Florida for something other than retirement
>>
>>32533930
There is no scenario where California will not attempt to subvert the law at every step and pray the cases never get to trump court. You are mostly right but it may not be up to them in a few decades

>>
>>32531867

CC bans are from the start of the confederacy.
You're thinking open carry, which also is not present and falls under, well shits got to be moved somehow.

So basically Utah CCW will become the national CCW license. Not that it isn't already basically.

"does not prohibit the carrying of concealed firearms by residents of the State for lawful purposes"

From what I get out of it.

If you :
1.) Have a CCW from your state
2.) Can have a gun by federal standard
3.) meet the legal requirements to be able to have CCW in the state you're visiting

you can CCW in any state and cali commies btfo. If this bill does as is intended. Utah CCWs are about to fucking skyrocket since they have the best system for getting an out of state permit.

Now all they need to do is fix state AWB laws.
>>
I wish Ohio would pass constitutional carry already
>>
>>32534110
the way it's worded, any laws regarding the actual carry still apply, such as "can't carry in X location" or "can't use hollow points" or registration or whatever dumb shit. But the ability to carry is reciprocated so you don't have to go through your state's licensing process.
>>
>>32531746
>posting breitbart as a serious source
He deserves a 'bump' to the side of his head.
>>
>>32533823
Well Commiefornia is still technically may-issue so they'd be subject to this as well.
>suddenly fucking every gun owner in California goes to Florida, Arizona, or Utah to get a permit

California is may-issue, so reciprocity will be required.
>>
>>32533930

Sure if they want to deny federal law then elt them try.

The feds always get what they want in the end. That's why we have a federally mandated 21 drinking age and 0.08 BAC limit for drunk driving.

States should not have the right to restrict portions of rights they don't like because their asses get hurt at the thought of them.
>>
>>32535136
How is it statist for the feds to literally throw their hands up and let their citizens have access to tens of millions of autoloading rifles and hopefully full autos down the road.

Feds can't control guns anymore and it only become more impossible for them if there is a grace period of progun pushback on the federal level and gun owners massively upgrade their arsenals.

And if the feds ever try and change their minds, all those hundred million gun owners will be much better prepared to tell them no.

This is true victory for us in the war on guns. Its time to seize it.

The only question I have is if you can still carry in states that require handgun registry. So lets say I drive up to Maryland and national CC is a thing. >>
>>32540783
The GOP will control the Presidency, strong majorities of both houses of Congress, and 75% of state legislatures. That's what you need to pass Constitutional amendments - pass Congress and get 3/4 of states to ratify. We could end birthright citizenship, repeal the 19th Amendment, declare proposing a gun control bill of any kind at any level to be high treason, or whatever crazy shit you can think of.

No filibusters allowed, and all you need is 50%+1 (aka Pence as tie breaker) to confirm an appointment now. There's literally nothing the Democrats can legally do at this point. If they stage a sit in or throw tantrums, they will be physically thrown out on their asses so the vote can continue.

>>
>>32540876
>It was done because Repubs were blocking everything including the essential functions because they were upset bitches.
Given the unprecedented electoral swing in favor of the GOP since the passage of Obamacare you could make a decent case that opposition to the entire Democratic agenda was in fact obeying the will of the people.

I could keep listing more introduced bills from yesterday, though the only one with cosponsers is OP's bill, so there might not be a point, some others i found was were: "H.R.62 - To provide for the hiring of 200 additional Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives agents and investigators to enforce gun laws."
Hide your doggos
Also: "To require the Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation to report to the Congress semiannually on the number of firearms transfers resulting from the failure to complete a background check within 3 business days, and the procedures followed after it is discovered that a firearm transfer has been made to a transferee who is ineligible to receive a firearm."
Both have no cosponsors so i'm not too worried
>>
>>32541145
200 more also means faster turnaround on forms and more Jamals getting jailed for faking.

I came here because I just read this. holy shit it's like a second christmas in one week. It's not that this is a perfectly ideal instant win, but it's been so fucking long since any gun laws were making strides in the right direction. Feels good man, reciprocity has an actual chance of passing rather than just being a pick-me-up-never-gonna-pass-with-king-nig bill that gets tried every now and again.

NYer here looking forward to a chance at not having to deal with our imoral and unsafe laws.

Dems can't do jack shit, they don't have a majority.

They can sit and cry on the house floor, but that's about it.

It bought 8 more years as a country, we'll see how much higher the number continues.
What's really needed is preformance evaluations and kicking people out in elections rather than letting them blame it on others.
Its not the fault of Democrats when Republicans hold the majority yet that is the narrative.
No Congressman fuckwit, you threw this country under the bus, here's a shop rag and wrench, you fix it.
Instead we now have GoldmanSachs and shits everywhere wanting to shive us back into the 20s.
>>
>>32541215
It won't be invalidated. If the cops try, ring up AG Sessions's DoJ and ask them to squish the cops for you

>>32541215
Not him, but if you have the right to carry a gun, you have the right to possess it.

I'm stuck as one of cuomo's subjects too and if i understand correctly, we need to get a stamp from the county clerk to put the gun on our licenses. If our retarded overloads don't fight this tooth and nail to be the special snowflake state liberal paradise, I assume that with reciprocity, we will have to take our shiny new utah permits to the clerk for a greenslip or whatever lets the FFL give us the gun. Or trump will stomp on cuomo's dick and we'll be able to buy firearms like normal citizens. Either way, these freedoms will come slower to us than others but they'll get here evenly during the next 8 years.

Its interesting how they're the only major US news part not owned by the gang of 4.
Makes you wonder if the Mexican owner got an interesting deal, or if there is something significantly worse going on.
I wager worse, information control should never be concentrated.
>>
>>32541361
So does that mean all the stuff they posted on Hillary was fake like Trump said in Michigan?
Like when did they become fake news from real news and why?
>>
>>32540720

You can't be this retarded. No state government has restricted freedom of speech, no state government has stopped freedom of the press, or instilled cruel and unusual punishments.

You have no argument here. All you're saying is "wah the media has lobbyists n'sheeit" which isn't infringement on free press or speech, it's just big business in bed with big government.

Please grow a few brain cells in the next 4 years

Dealio is, it is unconstitutional to ban CC and OC at the same time.
States like California outright ban OC.Well, whatever. But they also perform a de-facto ban on CC because a lot of theircounties are essentially no-issue. They got their shit kicked in by the supreme court.

If this bill passes, their shitty no CC laws don't mean shit, because any fucko from Arizona canjust carry in California.

You could say they've been fixing it all along!

There are generally exemptions for "transporting" firearms between states, assuming you make "haste" and don't stop anywhere. However, this hasn't stopped police in NY from arresting people for transporting assault weapons through the state without stopping
