why is it so easy to accidentally discharge a glock?
>>

because 9mm is a pussy round and the trigger pull is pussy light to match

>>32529425
Bc the triggers are the best
>>
>>32529425
No easier than for most other guns

There are just a shitton of Glock brand Glocks in circulation and some are bound to end up in the hands of morons

all you need is a decent holster that fully covers the trigger. The holster in the pic should be out of service.
>>
>>32529425
If only they took the ten minutes to rivet a spring steel band into the mouth of the holster.

0/10 would not operate with. How can I trust my partner if she/he has obviously never done anything rough in their life?

no safety
no first shot DA trigger pull
overly light trigger pull

you need to trim the nails on your safety, little boy

Grip safety would not have prevented what is op's pic.

other material holsters will do the exact same thing, right? except for rigid-body.

First, second, third...
>>
>>32529425
>Why is it so easy to discharge any compact polymer with this shit holster

Why are you shoving your gun into a holster in the first place? It's supposed to slide in and out effortlessly (i.e. without enough force to press the trigger).

OP confirmed as a nogunz
>>
>>32529738
I mean to say in ~normal~ DA guns the first shot is DA with a very high trigger pull weight, this is a safety feature

Negligently, if pic related is anything to go by.

A nice well made leather holster is just as safe as any kydex or synthetic holster. Pretty sure you couldn't pull off OPs pic with my Bianchi even if you tried to.

I've heard of this with utter dogshit holsters usually made by the fine craftsman of Uncle Mikes, but not for any legitimate product.
>>
>>32529425
Because it's the definition of a meme gun and is a retarded design from an ergonomic standpoint. Glock pretty much skipped the manual safety as a cost-cutting measure, and then marketed it as a "feature" so damn well that the cancer has spread to other guns.
>>32529653
I'm on my phone so no link, but I know of at least one news story where a dude ND'd into his leg because his holster caught on the trigger as he was entering his truck.
>>
>>32529722
What is Kydex
>>
>>32530343
Unless you use thick kydex it will still flex while also be ten times more uncomfortable. Only thing it actually offers is it's cheaper to make holsters out of it.

No real safety of any kind on the glock. I traded my glocks for a couple polymer pistols with more safetys. I feel much better carrying them. Also these two polymer pistols have better tolerance for over pressure ammo so I'm psyched.

Is there a safety that prevents the trigger from being pulled and firing the pistol? No there isn't. Go back to filling your mouth with dick you ignorant slut
>>
>>32530549
No, you are for buying into the marketing and memes.

Glocks are drop-safe only. That's not a real, fully functional safety. That's just a bare minimum for any pistol made after the 20's.
>>
>>32530549
That puny safety lever ain't shit. Will not prevent an ND
>>
>>32530587
There are safeties that prevents pistol from fire if drooped or impacted.

2 1/2 years owning my Glock 22. It's my favorite shooter. I still cannot feel comfortable relying on just the trigger safety alone. Especially when CC.
>>
>>32530632
Are you reading backwards? He said it's not fully functional, he wants MORE safety than that, aka a manual safety or something
>>
>>32530384

No it won't. You clearly don't know what the fuck you're talking about. Kydex does not bend that way unless heated, instead will snap or crack before it bends.

Also pretty comfortable if done right. Clearly you're a no guns faggot.

This
>>
>>32530911
I felt like that at first but i got over it after about a week
>>
>>32530947
Kydex is in no way comfortable compared to leather. Youre talking about a chunk of hard plastic up against your body as opposed to soft leather. Crossbreed styles are a different story however.

glocktards are literally this stupid

I've read the book GLOCK: The Rise of America's Handgun and in it are some interesting quotes from Gaston himself regarding safeties.

When he decided to get out of the curtain rod and knife business and into guns he began carrying a Walther P38 with him regularly. He liked the gun but found he could never remember whether the safety was engaged or not and this made him uncomfortable. This led to him excluding an external safety on his early designs.

So yeah, the reason Glocks don't have a safety is because of an absent minded inventor, not cost or efficiency of design.

Even hybrid holsters suck compared to a full leather holster. The only benifit Kydex offers is being cheap.
>>
>>32529425
Yes. The extremely rare scenario of your holster being so old a malleable that insert the gun back into it causes it to accident snag on the trigger and blow your testicles off makes the glock so easy to accidentally discharge.
>>
>>32529425

Thats what happens when you have a polymer single action shitbox mixed with a shitty ass holster.
>>
>>32530918
This. My carry gun is actually a P38 (fittingly, Gaston Glock's weapon of choice prior to designing his own), which is carried with the safety on. Between that and the heavy DA trigger pull, there's no way my gun is firing unless I want it to. I can still get it into action just as quickly, too. I swipe the safety off in my draw stroke.
>>32532343
Given the above, that's honestly kind of sad. Whether or not I'm carrying with the safety on, I automatically swipe it off as part of my draw.
>>
>literally being proud of being so stupid you cant stop yourself from pulling a trigger when you didnt mean to
