Uh, no...
That's an American comapny building in another country. A Russian company building in Russia is fine with him.
>>
Seems more like it's about punishing companies that move work out of the country to benefit. Not just other countries goods being brought here. I doubt we are gonna start not bringing Chinese goods into the country.

Well the NRA did endorse him before he was even nominated.

Rumor has it that he's going to overturn all of Obama's executive orders day one, which would include the Russian sanctions and the 41f change to NFA trusts. It's also anticipated that Trump would sign the Hearing Protection Act into law, which would remove silencers from the NFA.

His son is also a big-league gun guy, believe me.

>>32529912
This is getting /pol/ tier. But manufacturing in general does not benefit from cheap outsourced labour. The people who were setting up their golden parachutes at the time are the ones who benefitted.

But by outsourcing what used to be some of the best paying jobs, they've pocketed the difference themselves and weakened the consumer base as a whole.

This is why Henry Ford set his employees salaries such that they would be able to afford his own products. Competition had to follow suit, and suddenly there was a really strong consumer base for his products.

Whereas because of shit wages and shit jobs, the entire economy of the west right now is a gigantic consumer credit bubble just waiting to pop.

But businesses aren't singleminded entities. It all comes down to the guy who is in charge at whatever point in time, and all he cares about is whatever puts the most money in his pockets right then and there.

He has no reason to care whether or not all the employees he laid off are going to be buying his products with credit and when they all go bankrupt the market is going to go belly up.
>>

>>
>>32529967
I should've been more specific, I agree with your point. Consumerism has driven us mad, gone are the days of Ford the race to the bottom is all that matters anymore.
>>
>>32529979
No and I would want more guns anyway. Not a gun that kind of looks like what I want.
>>
>>32530008
Pretty much.

And I'm not saying this as a poorfag. I'm comfortably middle class. I enjoy a lot of extravagances that most people don't get to enjoy.

But I can see that whole retarded credit bubble growing. And it's going to ruin my shit too when it pops. Not just poorfags.
>>
>>32529997
Manufacturers moved production to the developing world.

That and you're ignoring that the actual revenue from manufacturing in the US has grown as it was projected to, it just did so while automating and reducing the total number of laborers necessary.

>>
>>32530138
No nevermind. I'm thinking of the chink clone which you guys can't import either AFAIK
>>
I heard Trump explain things with his own word once and it made a lot of sense. Free trade agreements encourage companies to go to the country with cheaper labor every time, because it's cheaper. Import tariffs keep business and jobs in the more wealthy countries by making it more costly to base that business in foreign countries.
>>
>>32530169
Yeah well there's going to be 1 engineer for every thousand robots. Assuming that you can't just have artificial intelligence direct an unskilled worker to perform any necessary maintenance.
>>
>>32529672
If American makers made stuff I want, I'd buy from them. But I don't want another AR-15 or 1911. And real capitalism isn't protectionism, so why should I pay Springfield Armory $$$ for what Norinco has shown they can make cheaper?
>>
>>32530198
So?

I don't need to ask an operator to connect me when I make a call anymore.

Technology marches on. I still prefer for job to be produced locally.
>>
>>32530188
And then high wages/benefits encourage companies to automate so you lose the jobs anyway and have higher cost products
>>

Maybe today since wages are picking up in china.

But i doubt we will see a massive flood of $20 to $30 an hour jobs like we had (accounting for inflation in most cases) coming back anytime soon.
>>
>>32530393
they would not have had to move the jobs to places where people will work for slave wages if it weren't for unions constantly demanding wage raises and striking when they didn't get them. People were not willing to pay $35k for a Cavalier and the companies knew that. Their choices were either charge high prices for cars that no one would pay and go out of business or move production to some place where they would still be able to keep the company in business. The whole "CEO's being greedy for high pay and screwing workers" meme has been debunked about 1 million times now. I suggest you stop getting economic and business news from Occupy Democrats memes and other Bern Out loving leftist cuck websites.

>>
>>32530512

As hard as it is to buy american anymore. i am more then willing to pay more for things made here. And in every single case i have come across there is a marked difference in quality.
>>
>>32530535
There are some people who do have a license but no guns. Like somebody might get one on a whim because their buddy is like "Holy shit i love hunting you should totally get your license" and then they get their license, and then the next year the other person is like "nevermind, hunting smells like poo" and the license is valid for 5 years per renewal, so they have a valid license for 5 years that they never bother to use.

But as far as non restricted (long guns, other than scary AR-15 looking guns) weapons goes, there's no registry.

Like some gun stores will keep some records to CYOA if shit happens, but they aren't legally obliged to. I'm sure there's stores in the states that do that.

But overall once you have your gun license, buying a gun is like buying a pack of cigarettes.

But when you get into short barreled centerfire rifles and handguns it gets a little more complicated, but still roughly the same idea.

>>
>>32530495
>>32530530
what's it like having absolutely no clue about how economics and supply and demand work?
It is a proven fact that union wage demands are what destroyed Detroit. If the company couldn't make the product at a price the consumer would pay, then they would stop making the product and go out of business anyway. Stop with the "muh living wage" meme. Also, don't bother with using homogeneous, tiny countries as examples of how it could work in America.

/k/ is a weapons board and since it's a guarantee that you are nogunz because of your (complete lack of) economic knowledge and political beliefs, I'd advise you find a board more in line with your beliefs, probably one that has lots of webm's of traps.

>>32530570
