I want one. what should I know before I buy it?
Looking for HD, range toy and maybe cc in the colder months
>>32525523
it's a little big for CC, but doable depending on your holster and belt. What do you currently CC?
They are good guns though. I've maybe 500 rounds through a friends over the years, it's a flat shooter with a decent DA/SA trigger. He likes it, has not had any real trouble with it.

You should look at what Tristar/ Canik has to offer for their cz's rather than paying extra for tooling marks
>inb4 not a real CZ
>nobody says Dan Wesson doesn't make real 1911's

>P09
>CC
Try the gen 2 P07 for that. They fixed a few issues with the duty and it's a sight smaller than the P09.

Sp-01 fag here
It's a god teir range gun
Probably the most comfortable gun available under $700.
The trigger is nice, but the reset is a bit long.
It's a heavy gun that requires a SUPER stuff belt to CC.
I can CC is for about 2 hours before it gets cumbersome.
I would get a p-01 or p-07 if I were you.
They are just as comfy and are lighter and smaller for CC.
Disregard anyone who bitches about the machining marks, as they are less than 0.001in deep and are not in critical areas.

That's not a p-09
>>32525523
you should shoot one first, i didnt like my cz, trigger left a lot to be desired
>>32525768
It's a smaller version of the P09, which makes it easier to carry.
>>32525523
>HD
sure
>range toy
excellent choice
>maybe cc in the colder months
you will never want to carry this unless its your only gun
its not the size its the weight you would be hard pressed to find something heavier in its size class
>>32525861
Explain to me how weight is an issue with cc, I live in Canada so no cc allowed but I don't see how carrying around something less than three pounds would bother me. Not trying to shit fling here
>>32526622
full size, double stack, all metal handguns are heavy. Without a great holster and a very rigid belt, it may sag or even pull your pants down. With a good holster and belt it is manageable.
full size grips also print on most people, bend over and people are going to see your gun.
I carry a glock 42, I carry it with a Galco supertuck on either pick related or a Galco belt. I can sleep with it on.

That makes sense. I always thought it was a fatigue thing which made me think all of /k/ we're bunch of skeletons. I'm very accustom to lugging around a 10 pound rifle +gear in the woods so I didn't know what everyone was bitching about
>>32525523
I've got the ordinary CZ-75 (on the right), except its the single-action-only version (SA). Same action as a 1911, can carry it cocked and locked.
I love it, got it off Gunbroker almost a year ago for ~400 dollars lightly used (~100rds). Very recently I put a nice pair of Karl Nill wood grips on it, pretty damn sexy desu, will post pic soon
>>32526953
With the wood grips
>>32525523
I've got the decocker version, and I love it.
First handgun purchase and it's remained my go-to-for-everything amidst other handguns. Only problem is I can't CC without tons of layers because Im a skinnyfag, it's also heavy as fuck. That being said, if size weren't an issue, I'd trust my life to it.
Also, I have only had one malfunction from WWB shit throughout several thousand rounds from S&B Czech ammo to Winchester HPs to Wolf steel case
>>32525523
I just got one. It's great.

nothing against those guns you mentioned but CZ is a maker, 1911 is a model so this analogy doesn't work
>>32525523
That's a big gun for CC.
>>32525523
get tactical version for the decocker and avoid safety at all chance.
>>32525819
How is the SP01 a smaller P09?
>>32529226
For you...
