By shop carefully i mean take your time. I got a little panicky when Mosins were appreciating at a fast rate and bought the first matching one I could find. Luckily I got well, lucky, and panic bought a Mosin with a rather interesting and uncommon(ish) origin. Lucky further it fueled my desire for knowledge of Mosins and I've since bought some hard to find Mosins and while small, have an excellent small collection for half what they are worth.
