Is a BB gun a good place to start learning gun safety for a nogunz in a heavy gun control state?

New red ryders suck.
Grab on of those co2 bb pistols. There's a few for that mujch at Wallyworld and they're fun

When I was given my first .22 as a kid my parents basically recreated that whole scene on Christmas morning. Down to the colour of the wrapping paper and bow.

Yeah, it's not bad for that purpose. It's got all the basic parts you need to be conscious of (muzzle, safety, trigger) and if you do happen to be an absolute faggot retard at least you (probably) won't kill anyone. Plus BB guns are convenient. Even in the suburbs I can hop out to my backyard and shoot some cans or paper targets at 15 yards, which is better than nothing on days where I don't have the time/cash to go to a range.

I like my Daisy Powerline 880 pretty okay. Good for backyard can-shooting, and I only paid 50 bucks for it, a dinky scope, 500 BBs, and 250 pellets. Great little starter kit.

It's not bad. If you have some extra money, get a pneumatic gun. They're technically not guns under any state or federal law, but they still have alot of stopping power at the higher calibers.

Oh and also it kills squirrels like a motherfucker.

As a kid, I ate many rabbits claimed with that model. I also had the .22 caliber version, which I liked better.
