I love all the guns I own. But i kind of want to get a gun that i don't necessarily love for the purpose of trading. Just something I can have fun at the range with, but throw up on armslist for trade after I've had my fun. Just see what could come my way, maybe trade it for something i wouldn't necessarily seek out to buy, but would like to have the experiance of owning for a while.

Ok so a few things. (I'm ex ar manufacturing).

Anderson lowers provide most of the industry with their forgings but when they finish machining their own shit their products are out of spec a lot. I have gotten good uppers from them but hole locations on their lowers have made me scratch my head and it's obvious to me whoever is running the mill wasn't keeping up on tolerance checks or tool wear.

Your gas key sticks because your tube and key don't mate correctly. The tube has a small flange and when the tube or key are out of spec they will bind. The problem with this is though it may run, at any unspecified round count, the flange will wear unevenly causing in the end not to run at all.

Gas rings sometimes get installed wrong, or carriers are machines poorly and not reamed. This can destroy rings early.

To me it sounds like you just need a good upper. On your lower, how's your buffer face? Not a mark on it? Getting beat up? Anderson is bad about the hole location for the buffer retainer.

My buffer was getting beat up a lot
The buffer I have now doesn't need a retainer so I don't think it applies to me anymore.

I tested my DD BCG with the gas tube after I bought it and it doesn't hang onto the tube like the old one does.

I'm not sure about the anderson castings, nor if my problems are fixed or not. But I still won't trust this gun, my first impressions after this build have lost trust for it. It's a fun range plinker since it has big mags and semi-automatic but I'm done with it.

It wouldn't have ever been the first gun I reached for though.
I really appreciate that write up from you, and I may have just band-aided this product. But it will never change my opinion on this gun.
