I saw a vid where a guy took his M39 apart and had two of those metal spacers between the receiver and the stock. I took mine apart to harvest the cosmoline and save it for later and saw mine only had one spacer. Is that normal do all M39s not have uniform amounts of spacers?

Yes that is totally normal and each rifle will have a different amount. I believe it was done by the Finnish to shim the action in a certain way to produce best groupings. Make sure you put them back where you found them. I had a VKT that had two but my current sako has none.

I bought mine from a lady named Pat and she gave 100% description of the rifle along with pictures. She is where classic got their stock from, she sold her whole stock to them. I was able to pick up a 1942 wartime stock, rifle is originally built on early 1900s receiver with the czarist eagle ground off. I think I paid like 350 for it.

DDI apparently sold the company to Palmetto state armory.

In doing so he let go all of the employees. To his credit he did give them a severance package and option to move.

I think it's just the 107s. My KO 55 batch 107UR has the shit dimples. No bigs for a gun I plan to shoot the hell out of, but they do need to fix it if they want to sell rifles. No one wants the shitty version of something for the same money.

My DDI AK has been nothing but great, but it is one of their original Hungarian Parts builds. The serial number is only in the 700s.

Still thinking about selling it and getting a different AK though. Don't want anything to do with this company after the way they've been going lately. It's been downhill since that awful shotgun they put out.

Hey /akg/

I'm looking to add a railed handguard to my AMD-65

I see mostly two options available: a quadrail by UTG or Ultimak and a railed polymer handguard by Mission First Tactical called the Tekko. Personally, I don't really like quadrails but I would be willing to by rail covers if it means I can get a very secure zero on the optic. I like that the tekko has good rail placements, but I've never really heard of Mission First Tactical and I don't know if they are any good.

Can anyone give me some advice on these or direct me towards a better option? Pic related; if I go with the quadrail I'd probably set up my rifle like this except with an AFG
