>>

Funny time for this thread!
I'm buying an Italian police surplus 92S on monday. It was between that for 450 and a Walther P1 for 600. Beretta won out because I figure its got to have loads of aftermarket parts.

Any suggestions on good places to order grips, compensators, etc.?
>>
>>32496046
1. The slides are interchangable if you get a G-Slide.
2. The straight G conversion kit should also work.
3. No, you'd need a gunsmith to change your front sight. It's fixed.
>>
>>32496487
Is the A3 the only one that comes with a replaceable front sight?
>>
>>32496606

>>
>>32496606

>>
>>32496677

Anyone got this fugly little bastard?

I don't know why but I have the largest fucking hard on for the sub compact. Been searching for 3 months and still cannot find one.

Is it because Beretta is still moving all their shit to the new site or did they just abandon this particular model?
>>
>>32497386
I dont know for sure, but they might be phasing it out for their new carry version
>>
>>32497403
They better fucking not. The new one is just a revision of their compact size.
>>
>>32496046
>Does the A1 accept the decocker only conversion
92A1 uses the same safety levers as the 92FS series. They fit fine

>is the front sight post removable
Yes, 92A1, 92FS Brigadier, 92G-SD, and the M9A3 have removable/replacable front sights.

>>32496487
>No, you'd need a gunsmith to change your front sight. It's fixed.

Unless you're talking about the M9A1 instead of the 92A1, you're wrong buddy.

>>32496606
>>32496682
No.

>>32497386
Beretta is still trying to get things up and running in Tennessee, and their major backlog is for 92-series guns. I can't even get replacement 92FS slides under their warranty program, they're running on max capacity to fill orders from before and during the move.

Finding grips and mags is a pain 'cause aftermarket m9 pleb scum. Shoots tight groups at 25 yards depending on user ability. Paid 380 all said and done and mine didn't show any signs of being fired. Damn sey and right hand only make it attractive to me. Also I like old guns. M48 Mauser is next planned but

I live in a less-free zone. 450 is basically the bare minimum for handguns unless you want
A) Norinco chinaman guns (generally 50% of real gun it is copying)
B) Glorious soviet Tokarev (200)
And if you've ever held a Tok, they look not so bad in pictures, but are comically tiny in real life. Thin gun, cheap feel, short grip, tiny cartridge.
When I went to grope guns at the fun store, I was deeply disgusted by the Tok but loved the feel of the 92S. Shame about the heel release though, that's goofy. Still worth it for the price. Their more modern Beretta model was 699.
>>
>>32501932
The one in my pic (op) is a 92a1 and has a regular mag release

About $70. http://www.southernohiogun.com/gallery/beretta-model-92s-9mm.html
>>
>>32501944
Yep, and at my LGS, that model is 250 bucks more.
I can handle a little discomfort to save that much money. 250 bucks can get me several spare mags and 500 rnds of 9mm.

My only other options in the same price range are:
-Walther PPX (polymer garbage)
-Sig p250 (DA only, bizarre inaccessible hammer)
-Bersa in .22lr (nope)

Such is life in Canada.

So why is the M9A3 so much more if the only thing it has is coming with a threaded barrel and night sights? That's like an extra $300 tops. I think I'm going to get a 92a1.
>>
>>32502090
Yup. Our gov. Would like nothing better than to see us all disarmed completely, but we barely hang on to our (relative to the rest of the world) unfucked gun rights because:
A) Hunting culture. And the liberal parties are thirsty as fuck for those rural votes
B) A massive, unpatrollable border with the most well-armed country in the world. Smuggling is literally impossible to stop.

So for the most part, we /k/anucks have a proximity to you guys to thank for keeping our gun rights. So legitimately thanks for that.
It's why I was rooting for Shillary to lose so hard. If you guys had any gun bans in your future, we would get FUCKED. RAW.

We're tryin ameribro.
Conservatives say if we kick Trudope's ass to the curb in 3 years, they'll amend 2A rights into the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms. I'll believe it when I see it, but it's worth a shot.
And we currently have bills in the pipe to decriminalize suppressors and banned "variants" like FALs and AKs. Hopefully we can slip those past weedman while he jacks off to how "POSTNATIONAL" we are.

But enough about that. Any sweet gizmos and gubbins for the 92S I should look into? Is there any difficulty in finding grips due to the heel release?

>>
>>32502275
The A3 doesn't have a trigger job -- it's literally just the D-spring that you can get for $6. And all A1 have a beveled mag well.

As for personal taste, not all people like the FDE finish, but it's always possible to get a gun cerakoted if you want it. Same thing with the Vertec grip. Not all people will like it as it's mainly meant to attract people with smaller hands. My 90-Two has swapable grips, but I went back to regular size one because it feels better to me.
>>
>>32502506
Well that settles it, I'm definitely going with the 92a1.
>>
>>32502506
So the only difference between the 92a1 and the m9a3 are the finish, nights sights, threaded barrel and vertec grip? Hardly seems to justify the extra $500.
>>
>>32502089
>Dat A1's buttstock armsroom stencil
I love that shit
>>
>>32502569

There's some other slight differences like the third rung on the pic rail, checkering on the front and back strap, and a slightly canted safety lever. Also, it has the combat trigger guard like regular M9 (instead of the rounded one of the 92). Some other stuff is the extra grip, the specially coated mags, and the special packaging.

The high price is mainly because it's another special edition 92. This one meant to appeal to mall ninjas who are into tacticool military gear. Whether that's worth dropping several hundred over 92A1 is a question of how much you appreciate having the features already on the gun from the factory that most people will not have.

I have a bevy of 22's including a S&W 622VR which is somewhat rare. The 71 was great and I would recommend, but it wasn't filling a spot in my collection so I sold her. Why on Earth did you buy 6?
>>
>>32507093
I think it is nice to have extra parts and a few examples of the same gun.
It was also a fun project removing the fake cans from all of them.

The original Beretta deep blue finish is also pretty nice and there is just something nice about old Beretta.

Unfortunately the GCA of 1968 stopped the Beretta 70 series from really getting popular in the US, On the other hand this will make it even more rare once century runs out of them.

The vent rib is very nice, I have both a 422 and 2206 but I prefer shooting my 71's over both of them.

They don't. Some mags are PVD coated which is supposed to be more sand resistant than the regular mags. You can buy the PVD mags individually for about $40/ea. The version for the A3 has the FDE colored base plate.

>Whats the advantage of the different trigger guard shape?
It's supposed to be a place to grip a finger on your supporting hand, Whether or not a s shooter finds an advantage to this depends on how they grip the gun. Personally I prefer it and I wish my gun had it, but it isn't a deal breaker.
>>
>>32507800
Well I also have a break top .22 H&R that I find to be much more fun to shoot. Funny to think of someone two handing them. I might buy another at some point, but they've been kept pretty quiet thus far so I'm not worried.

The H&R break top has been on my list for a while. Ill find one eventually.
