Gorkas are just windsuits. They're made of pure cotton (brezent) and so are not water proof, nor are they particularly warm.

They're extremely comfortable though, and pretty durable. They're also cheap and great looking.

There has been a lot of of Felin suits on the market recently. They're quite comfy and durable, and it's great with almost every chest rig and plate carrier because all the pockets remain accessible and you can take a piss easily.
I even saw one with urban camo instead of woodland, it looked dope.

Frogg Togg jackets and pants may be an option? I've been looking for an American alternative to Gorka suits for a while and that's the best I could come up with. The span of my research has been pretty shallow.

It's resin impregnated duck cotton, the same shit they used to make tents out of. Not 100% waterproof but bretty good. worn my gorka 3 in snow before without issue, need a good mid layer though.
