Untrue, actually. The A2 is what the SA80 SHOULD have been Day 1. It is well loved by those who have used it, from all nationalities. it's reliable now, accurate and cheap. Anybody who hates the A2 is just memeing and hasn't fired it let alone used it. It's main problem is it's ergos, which aren't that bad. It's a good rifle until the 2030 update.

It depends on what you deem as 'superior; the Bren was a much more accurate LSW. The MG42 was superior in it's fire rate. But these are all different uses. MG42's were used for suppression, Brens were used for accurate fire support. That's it. Almost as if two countries had different priorities.

It's like saying the MG42 is better than the M2. It's a different weapon used for a different purpose.

L98A2 cadet rifle is what most of us Brits on here used in cadets and confuse it with the L85A2. The L98A2 is by far the worst firearm I've ever used. Every 5 shots or so it would jam up real bad.
