What's the best "modern" 45acp pistol that can be had for under $800?
Anything with the word "Glock" on it.

Fpbp
Literally this. Just keep it simple
Just spend the money and get an HK MK23
>>32487755

>>32487755
Do some shopping and you can get a USP or FNX 45 for less than 800, if you mean new, then the FNX only.
FNX45
15+1rds of .45ACP
>>32487755

>>32487755
Fnx-45.
>>32487755
A used USP in .45 acp
>>32488085
Wasn't other people unable to reproduce that effect?
>>32488134
they were, but it was just a faulty batch, FN quickly fixed the problem but apparently the polymer is still soft enough to be pressed
>>32488188
So don't squish it then?
You can take a hammer to a PMag but that doesn't make it bad just because it breaks.
>>32488251
Sorry dude the squishy reminds you of your dildo and thats why you like it

Sig Sauer P220. Certified preowned is quite affordable, 500-600 LE trade ins that the factory rehabs and warranties. Usually in exceptional shape, best way to pay $550 for a West German P220. Look for the red hospital bracelet on the grip, otherwise it's just "used."
>>32488400
No external safety, very accurate, super reliable. I've put over 3000 rounds through mine, including several hundred rounds of Wolf, and a variety of hollow points.
Not one malfunction. Ever.
>>32488296
Nice to see twelve year olds on /k/.
>>32488417
>Super reliable
Compared to what? A rock island 1911?
Don't buy any gun in .45 ACP.
>>32487755
>best
>under $800
Fuck you, get an HK45.
>>32488435
>Compared to what?
Tell us more about how Sig P220s aren't reliable.
For $800 you can get
>Glock 21
>Zev or Ghost's diy/adjustable trigger kit
>shit ton of ammo
>a dozen mags
>9001 hours at the range
>a spare barrel
And still have $10 to get yourself some fucking froyo before meeting the cost of any modern 1911 that'll run as well.
I'm no poorfag but I know a good deal when I see one. Just get the Glock.
>>32487755
Police trade-in P220
>>32488737
>just get the glock
exactly why you should get a glock
>>32487755
what do you mean by "modern"? Double stack vs single stack? polymer vs plastic?
.45's are made en mass tgo the same degree as 9mms or even .40s and Id argue they are still a niche gun in that aspect. Some 9mms are just an old around good pistol where as a .45 needs to have a certain kind of specia niche about them l to be "good"
pic related is my choice though
>>32488289
fell in love with when i saw dugan review it
>>32489807
I wish Sig offered more of their .45 guns in 10mm.
>>32487755
1911 doublestack, firing .45 super or .450 SMC
ATI fatboy. Metal vs Polymer comes down to preference and comfort for carry.
I like metal, I am used to the weight. I also am used to lugging shit around from the military, so mileage may vary.
I will say this with absolute confidence: Muzzle flip is reduced with steel. A good ported barrel or compensator also reduces flip.
>>32488134
Pretty sure a tripfag managed to git a similar result.
What's the difference between the P220 and 227?
>>32490658
Single stack
Double stack
>>32487755
This right here.
The Glock 40 Problem Solver.
>>32490708
I'd like to see a threaded Hipoint with a suppressor on it
>>32490658
single stack p220
double stack p227 and e2 grips.
e2 grips suck. the barrels are interchangeable, slides are not. both need the srt kit
>>32490789
>>32490789
.
>>32490789
With tall sights and a RMR, forward cocking serrations, custom extended safety, and stippled grip panels. And a green X400U on the accesory slot.
>>32490868
>e2 grips suck
why
>>32487761
Pretty much.
>>32493038
they're not as comfortable (personal opinion)
they're a pain to remove (fact) and shooting suppressed i clean the thing a pretty often
i replaced them with g10 from houge
>>32488296
JESUS MAN YOU DUN MADE A FOOL OF YOURSELF
>>32495323
They really aren't that hard to get off, they are less of a pain than standard grips with the screws and whatnot imo. They still suck though.
>>32495570
they send you a fucking tool to get your grips off. we've been doing screws for over a century now what the fuck is wrong with screws? and ya, you take them off a dozen times you get pretty good at it (compared to the one time you need to unscrew something to get familiar with it) but i dont want to seek out a weird tool every time i need to clean my gun. fuck that noise and fuck e2 grips.
Another post for the fnx 45
I absolutely love it, have had no issues with mine after 800 rounds. Haven't had much time to go shooting recently though or I'd be over 1000 easily
Additionally, what's the best 1911 style 45 in this price range?
>>32488400
I thought they only took 9mm, 10mm and .40?
>>32495841
>best
>1911
>under $800
That's like trying to pick the hottest girl at fat camp.
>>32495939
aw come on the springfield loaded aint bad
>>32495939
>That's like trying to pick the hottest girl at fat camp.
ya thats pretty easy.
Remington aint bad
>>32487807
This
Or get a USP trade in for around $650
>>32488296
Yeah and the rigid reminds you of yours
>>32488464
Not a bad thought either, and depending where you look may not cost more than 8 too
>>32495841
Probably a Sig, just gotta price shop.
>>32495617
Unless you're an old dude with arthritis you just pop them off with your fingers from the mag well, if you are an old dude with arthritis then you can use the tool or a stick or something.
The problem with screws is the grips are two part grips and have screws, small parts which are easy to lose and they also (especially sig) rust and strip relatively easily.
They still suck though.
>>32496112
the problem with screws is that have screws? lol what?
two part grips? i dont see the problem. they also make single piece grips with screws. all of those problems you mentioned have never happened with my 220 or 227 with g10s so far.
>>32487755
You can get USP 45s under $800
>>32496160
Im just saying that you are doing something wrong if you struggle to get E2 grips off. Jesus fucking christ man.
>>32496268
not really struggling but its still a process and i have no problem with screws. but you do you man.
>>32490901
That suppressor is 4x the cost of the gun. Fuck's sake.
>>32490419
P220 is, what more do you want lol
>>32496566
The P220 Hunter Full Size, SKU 220R5-10-HP-SAO, a 5" barreled, SAO, Kryptek-hydrodipped stainless-frame gun is available in 10mm Auto.
I want a normal P220, or better yet a normal P227, in 10mm Auto. Is that so much to ask?
Thought I'd ask here. I've got a chance at a USP45 tactical that a dude is asking $900 for.
I've got an AR I have around $875 in that I'm going to try to trade even for. Sound good to y'all? It's just a PSA build, and I intend to keep the scope.
>>32488036
>ambi mag release without the option to make it on one side only
Would've been flawless otherwise...
>>32488400
>german police used .45ACP
is yous on crack my nigga?
>>32497255
The P220 was originally designed and sold as a single-stack 9mm, and only rechambered in .45 Auto for sale in Burgerstan.
>>32497238
Frankly I think the whole ambi pistol controls meme is a bit silly.
Especially with mag releases, since a wrong-handed user can just curl their index finger down and push it like an HK flappy paddle mag release.
In general the only real justification is "what if your right hand gets disabled mid-gunfight," since normally a left-eye-dominant shooter can shoot a handgun righty by just scooting the gun left a couple of inches so it lines up with their shooting eye.
