Ive used a bunch of multitools before and the one that i always recommend is the leatheman wave. Ive used the swiss army multitool, gerber multitool, a couple knock offs, etc and always the leatherman wave seems to be the go to for me. They also have a legit warranty.

Gerber compact sport 400, you could almost buy 3 with your budget, they also have the diesel and other models that are bigger and more expensive.

the one you posted in op pic, but not the EOD just the MUT.

The carbon scraper and punch seem like a waste of space if you're getting a multitool without gun cleaning in mind.

you wanna do EOD stuff?
Get the EOD version of the Super Tool 300 and replace the metal saw with the file diamond file (sold separately) of the leatherman surge.

Have a mut 6 years old had it since Afghanistan great tool plus most of the parts are easily replaced.
I've been carrying a Leatherman Wave for 3 years. Awesome thing to have. I use it a lot. I replaced the pliers with the pliers from a Leatherman Rebar and now it's tits money.

If you're not planning to be using it for rifle maintenance often I don't think it's worth it at all
I have a MUT about 3 years now, love it.

Leatherman wave is the best selling multi tool for a reason. It has everything you would commonly use as well as outside opening blades. The only negative for me is that it doesnt have replacable cutting jaws. I use the charge tti which is basically a wave but upgraded with titanium scales and s30v blade.
I also own the wingman and sidekick, both are handy as smaller multitools and they have spring loaded pliers making life a bit easier. But they dont quite offer the full toolbox which the wave or charge offers
Letterman surge, like the wave only slightly beefier with a tad more features
