I think the vertec grip is 100% better than the regular bulbous M9 grip. It really reminds me of a proper 1911's grip angle, which I love. The extended magazine release feels a little cheap, but that's the only real negative I've got about it. It's super accurate, has great night sights, and the trigger is much improved over the regular M9 in my opinion. The only thing I think they skimped on (outside of the mag release is the safety indicator. As you can see there's a recess in the safety's path; that's supposed to be red. However, it's not painted red, it's fucking sticker'd red. My red sticker fell out after a week.

What does /k/ think of my new Raifu? It's my 2nd AR, mostly a christmas gift build that I don't want to shoot until it's "complete"

Oddly enough with the configuration it stands straight up on the stock without assistance. So far it's relatively light weight (About 7lb with optic), looks heavier than it is.

I plan on replacing the heavy irons with a Deltapoint or a Venom at 45 degrees mounted at the back of the reciever, this should lighten it up and they'll be quicker than irons (I leave optic at 3x)
I'm not sure if I want to replace the generic rings with a lightweight single-piece mount like an Aero Precision (Good idea? Bad idea? I don't know the weight on these rings)
When I get that figured out I'll be torture testing the fuck out of the grip-pod and light in the cold/snow

My personal experience with the MI AK mounting system has been phenomenal. I went through 3 RS Regulate shitty mounts before I settled on, and fell in love with this one and I haven't looked at videos recently but when I bought it there was nothing but good reviews. But every company can make a lemon (And I've had several from Trijicon, Truglow, Streamlight, RS Regulate, BCM and others)

It's my first time trying a light like this. I was going to get a slim, off-set light on the rail but all it would do is cost money to look better.
