In Las Vegas there are shooting ranges specifically catering to tourists where you can rent time with a gun at their range. They even have Machine guns.

California will not be as based, but there will be ranges which let you rent one of their guns to shoot at their range.

I have a question about the ammo law that takes effect in 2018.

It will require a background check to buy ammo. Will ranges no longer be allowed to sell ammo? Or will they get around it by including the ammo cost in your range fee, and then just giving/renting you the ammo?
