When: January 13th - 15th
Where: Taladega National Forest
Why: To shoot, drink, and post dank memes.
So a few updates since last week.
The chosen shooting range will be the Henry Creek shooting range, which can be found here http://www.fs.usda.gov/recarea/alabama/recreation/otheractivities/recarea/?recid=30177&actid=106 or by going to these coordinates 33.699235, -85.576406
The chosen camping ground will most likely be here 33.698666, -85.586706. I say "most likely" because I cannot plan 100% on a spot I have not been to in person, however this looks like the best bet for number of people expected to be attending and its proximity to the range. If something should come up and we be unable to use this site, I have several backup sites.
The Jewgle Doc I promised is up and can be found here https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1NmkANaZHoF2-kAu2lmbkoZkzAF2Q9rZ_HnNkJ78xQm0/edit#gid=0
A few notes on that. What I'm trying to do with this is make it so everyone can easily see what other people need and can help each other out if they're so inclined. It also allows me to get a more accurate count of people who are actually serious about going and what I need to try and provide. If you want to be in the groupme when I make it, which I would highly recommend if you plan on carpooling, then just shoot me an email with your phone number.
A few things I forgot to mention in the last thread (but its on the google doc) is things to make sure you have.
- Water
- Toilet paper
- Food and beer
- Ammo
- Sleeping and camping gear
- Rain gear (you never know with Alabama)
This is really just a general list to help people not forget anything, but water would definitely be the biggest since we will be at a primitive camp site with no toilet access and no running water. That shouldn't be a problem if you're not a limp wristed fagit.
Any questions please post in the thread or email me, that's why I'm here.
Rules
These are all pretty self explanatory since everyone will be grown ass adults.
- Safety (I cannot fucking stress this enough)
The last thing I need is having to take an anon to the hospital because he/she was acting retarded.
- Nothing illegal
I'm more referring to sketchy unregistered stuff here. If you're bringing it please bring paperwork to show an LEO if they decide to roll up. Nobody is going to be policing everyone to make sure its all "muh ATF compliant" but its in the interest of future meets.
- If you're bringing alcohol just don't be handling firearms afterwards, also no driving etc.
- Be courteous to each other
Get a bunch of socially awkward tards in a group and hand them guns, whats the worst that could happen? But in all seriousness if you're being a dick or causing trouble you will be asked to leave. I know its possible everyone can get along AND have a good time.
- Worst news yet, no tannerite or tracers. National forest regulation
Here's the links for the different ranges for everyone to browse.

Unfortunately I have not had the pleasure of trying out any of these 3 ranges so really its based on where there is a large enough campsite. I will try to scout it out before, but if any streloks have some good info please, let a nigga know.
Please note the $3 charge per vehical for range access and be prepared with that in cash.
I don't wuite know what campsite to choose yet because I do not have a solid estimate of warm bodies and cars, but be prepared to factor that into the cost as well.

Too far
Another piece of news from the last thread, tripfag Gio was nice enough to start designing a patch for the meet. However an alternative suggestion of the same design on a challenge coin was made as well, currently interest for the pacth is winning out.
Here it is in all it's glory, all credit goes to Gio.
However' if anyone could tweek the colors, maybe try out a different color scheme or a more realistic color scheme I'd like to see that.
As soon as I get a workable design with the right colors then I'll put the order in, although there's no guarantee it will make into my hands by the meet.

How about not always having them in the same place? So people that it's too far for them to go can go to one once in a while?
>>32449488
Unfortunately its the closest range to me and I can't realistically plan something that's far from me. Maybe in the future I'll do one in the Chattahoochee-Oconee NF.
>>32449524
Well, someone else can plan it.

NF Rules page.
Sorry for reposting so much of the same stuff every thread, I just want to make sure everyone gets the same information.
If anyone has a shot timer, that would be great for dicking around with 3gun shit.
Also toying with the idea of having a blanket shoot competition.
The basic breakdown is everyone brings a small gift or food or whatever to put on the blanket and then we set up a basic marksmanship competition.
>2 targets per shooter 50 yds
>2 Targets per shooter 100 yds
Everyone who puts something on the blanket shoots and then, starting from the highest score to the lowest, everyone picks something off the blanket.
Its a fun way to have a friendly competition where everyone ends up with something at the end. No limits on what you put down there either. The only rule is if you want to compete you got to put something of value on the blanket.
Also may have some other shooting competitions too, I have 2 skeet throwers so there's the possibility for a game of pickup as well.
Dumping confederates to keep this up
>>32449657
I like this idea, the more competitions the more fun really and this is a good one to encourage everyone to join in.
If I only have a single bolt action rifle will AR fags bully me for showing up

inb4 IO
she hasn't had any failures that couldn't be attributed to operator error, for a total of 715 rounds so far.
>>32453244
tease? absolutely.
bully? shouldn't. your one rifle is as much yours as would be your one pupper. she is yours, you love her, and nobody has any reason to be cross with you about it.
>>32453287
IO's make gen 1 glocks look like non fragmintation devices
>>32453244
Just show up, nobody cares what you're shooting. Also, if you have any tranny or furry friends bring them.
>>32449447
Asked wifey if she wanted to come after 2mins browsing board she said "HELL NO" but shell watch our boys so I can.
Could we shotgun bowl?
Camping seems pretty neet. Trips seem oddly un douche mite grab couple sigfags bros see yall then
>>32453244

& about 250rds for anons to use.
so, shotgunners welcome
>>32449447
ONE more thing.
bringin lots of paper targets + two stands w/ extra cardboard backing & a steel silhouette for close range pistol/shotgun (or long range rifle)
>>32449447
also, thanks for the location update.
i know some anons were getting uppity
i feel kinda tacticool now
..& i gotta say its not an entirely good feeling
I'll dump some pics of targets and stuff I made that I'm bringing to the meet.
Only downside is you can't use rifle rounds against the steel since its not AR500
>>32458045
cool
having steel targets will keep the shooting going
bump
Does anyone have a set of the stars and bars they can bring so we can fly it?
>>32458653
I've got a Bonnie Blue for sure, but this is north bama, so maybe not. I'll have to look for my battle flag.
>>32459014
This one, not the rebel battle flag that is "le rasist maymay".
Actually we need both.
>>32458094
Reminds me of my target setup.
I just have some fiberglass orange marking rid thingadooders and I use clothepins to clamp on some bigass posterboard paper whatever it's called. The rod things get hit sometimes, but they're light as fuck, cheap as fuck, and easy to set up, and they can take a few glancing hits and stay up.
>>32459014
Posting superior version
>>32460377
That is better. We'll have to add Saban soon.
