What is /k/s thoughts on a Kimber Microcarry 9 or .380 as a primary CCW weapon for someone with smaller hands or maybe in a purse?

I was also considering a P320 / P250 but I really don't like the triggerpull on it.
>>
>>32442929
I hate to go all patriarchal on you but could you let us know how sexist or advice should be?
>>
>>32443210
I want a gun and I know the kimber microcarry is newer, is it a good CCW weapon?
>>
>>32442929

Never carry your gun in a purse. Always carry it on your person
>>
>>32443214
Don't get a kimber
>>
>>32443234
Duly noted, I've just turned 21, and I am unsure how to carry a pistol on me, and in my state Open--Carry and Printing is illegal, I've had weapons experience from my father and have other guns but this is my first handgun and my first CCW experience and I am unsure on how I should carry it, and still look professional (fitted clothing)
>>
>>32443259
Why not? I was considering a J-frame but I need something sleeker
>>
>>32442929

Never carry something you will mind having taken by the police once you use it and that you'll hate to see with an evidence number etched on it.

One of the best things about Glock's is they sit right on that line between good enough and disposable. Get a Glock 43 and call it a day.
>>
>>32442929
Glock 43, Ruger LC9s or M&P Shield. Don't carry in a purse. If you can't conceal a regular holster, get one of those underbra holsters so you can hide it under your titties, assuming you're an actual female and not a trap. If you're a trap, your mental illness means you're more likely to kill yourself with it than protect yourself with it, so maybe hold off on the gun in that case.
>>
>>32443269
Shit construction, lots of failures, way too expensive for what you're getting.

For a range toy or something I guess you could waste your money but I wouldn't rely on a Kimber for a carry gun. Ever.
>>
>>32443313
Traps aren't the same as transgirls, ya' dip

Until you can get rid of that Y chromosome, you're a man.

>>
>>32443269
Mall ninja's associate Kimber with Fudd tier taste. It's mostly just a matter of personal taste, but for a lot less you could get something like a SCCY.
>>
>>32442929
Overpriced for what you get.
>>
Kimber=junk.

Very small kimber=double junk
>>
>>32443436
Well... Technically you don't need two XX chromosome to be physically female. You just need to have an incredibly odd and fairly rare mutation.

Kimber are pretty shitty manufacturers.
>>
>>32442929
Kimber was sold in the early 2000's and has really gone to shit. the barrels are not hammer forged, they are not even stainless on most models, they are coated. They began using MIM parts instead of milling several years ago too, making them very prone to breakage. If you want that style firearm, look at a Sig 938/238. I carry a 938 all the time and it has been a fantastic firearm. Please do not waste your money on a Kimber. I used to work for a Kimber Master Dealer and they are just bad.

WOMEN.

Buy something with a safety so when it accidentally goes off in your purse or bra holster it doesn't blow your tit off of kill a kid

Wait, a the gun will "go off" but there'll be a safety and thus it doesn't fire?

Your phrasing is retarded.
>>
>>32442929
Hammerless revolver > Any pocket auto. Seriously. Slimmer handle, similar capacity, harder hitting ammo, contact shots, pistol whipping.

I absolutely love my little Seecamp. So small there is no reason not to carry.

How does a gun go off and then not shoot? I think the real problem here is your lack of grasp of the English language.
>>
>>32444705
Nah, you're just a retard
>>
>>32443288
Implying when I shoot jamal who broke into my house with my colt 1911, I wont cherish the police etchings and frame the fucking gun.

It's like your not even trying.

They have a more spotty QC rep than Kimber does.
>>
>>32443948
Does Seecamp shill here? Or are they genuinely underrated unknown guns?
>>
>>32445249
I'm thinking about getting one. The youtube vids looked good and I'm sick of carrying around a bulky gun.
>>
>>32445426
To add, if .380 won't stop em with one magazines worth, my fists are always an option and this sized gun wouldn't be a problem to carry

Well, I liked by 32 enough to buy a 380. The 380 is under the mouse.
>>
99% chance you're gonna need to fix the extractor on any kimber you buy. Just have a bench vise handy.

THIS x100 TIMES!!!
>>
>>32445558
They arent cheap.
>>
>>32443214
Okay I'm off work now.
Kimber is a good fun but over priced by a large margin. Their marketing is stupid and it's what you're paying for when you buy it; full page magazine ads about their "custom" production guns that they act like they are better than they are. If you don't maintain them properly, they won't cycle the ammo. I had a Kimber ultra carry 2 back in the day and it would jam if I put too much oil on the rails, not even kidding.
So, if you want to baby over the gun, keep it meticulous and impress people who aren't in the know with your expensive and pretty gun then yes they are actually good guns.
If you just want to defend yourself with a small light gun, I would recommend the Walther PPS or Springfield XDS.

>tfw still haven't killed myself despite being hasguns
In addition to just plain not wanting to die I love guns too much to ever contribute to gun grabber statistics.

I want a compact 1911 despite what everyone says about them
what are some of the better choices? Preferably in 9mm
>>
>>32446522
>compact 1911
Get SIG P238, or Colt Mustang, then
>>
Kimber micro carry is pure aesthetic and the trigger is pure sex but wouldn't carry it mostly beacuse of the sights are usually just black sights atleast with the glock43 I can and have put night sights on for extra visibility in night time situations if the need arises
>>
>>32446522
Springfield EMP, want one myself.

tried them, didnt like them. At least the sig 238/938. They were just small enough for them to not fit comfortably in my hand. Shame too because I liked them
and I don't want a .380
>>
>>32446869
>>32446883
how are these vs a colt defender?
>>
>>32446980
Idk man, be careful of you get the colt or SIG 380's. They're fragile and you can damage the slide stop spring cleaning them, same goes for 938. On the other hand, with the hogue grip they shoot nice. I've never messed with the defender though.
>>
>>32446800
This was the answer I was looking for, I will be looking into a glock 43 from recommendation from you and the thread, thank you
