I actually posted a thread a while back.
So far as I could gather, it seems that they're pretty decent, however the trigger normally suffers. Ian did a video on the FAMAS, and in it he gives a good idea of the typical Advantages/disadvantages Bullpups face.

No, there just hasn't been one that checks all the boxes yet. They are definitely seeing use around the world despite not being perfect.

Basically this. Bullpup apologists always point to individual rifles that solve individual issues with the concept (F2000 for ambidexterity, Tavor for not-shit trigger, Aug for healthy aftermarket, so on), but until a rifle comes along that interprets all these solutions into one package, it will be at least partially meme-tier. It is important to remember that the meme designation is in a state of flux though.
