Another positive to add, it felt exceptionally well balanced when I messed with it, and it is advertised to shoot any kind of 3" shell and smaller.

I shoot alot on a private gun clubs land. Only rule (for the most part) is BP rounds only. Now I think the idea was to keep the guns more old timey but I won't be the first running BP through something quite modern there. I love shooting there and I have come to love BP. I understand it, I load it myself and I even have made it from scratch before. Yes I do like BP.

But like I said I plan to use regular modern rounds anywhere else. Like in my home as an HD gun.

it must weigh a ton, especially when fully loaded. Imagine a double-barrel shotgun and 14+2 shells. We're probably looking at around 10 pounds.

I don't see any reason why they shouldn't run BP rounds. You'll foul up the gun faster and require more cleaning but from a functional standpoint it should work.

I'm pretty darn sure it can take chokes.

I doubt it can be used for bird hunting. I don't hunt so I don't know the rules, but I'm pretty sure it has way too high of a capacity to hunt birds with it and I'm not sure how shotgun mag blockers work.

As for weight, its heavy as shit. It's a giant high capacity shotgun, weight will always be an issue. Its just the nature of the best.

From what I know about them, they are gimmicky but they work well. If you want it and don't care about the cost, get it.

The real question here is will a Vepr 12 eat BP well enough for a day of shooting.

From the limited information I could gather, it doesn't look good for the Vepr.

While it is built on the venerable RPK format, it is still a gas gun of sorts. I was not able to find anything online directly about it, but I knew BP should work in any semi. So here I am.
