Glock carbine. It's 2 guns in one. Woah.

literally vaporware

also they never fixed the fact that .22mag isn't meant to be double stack or under that much spring pressure meaning that the mags still dents/breaks casings

>>32402894
why make a thread when you already know it's the CX4 storm carbine
>30 round mags
>great trigger with a stiff short break (inb4 someone who doesn't own one REEEEs about polymer and how it isn't a single stage match trigger)
>shrouded flip up ghost ring sights and full length toprail
>fully ambidextrous
>accurate as FUCK with very little recoil
standing unsupported at 50 yards it's a 9mm caliber laser pointer cranking out ~3" groups and I barely shoot mine. I frequently take it out to 100 yards.
>easy to take down and clean
>kills cylons

it's a fucking travesty they don't still make this, the deerslayer, or the camp9

>you will never buy a new in box Ruger 10/22x2 TD .44mag takedown rifle
>>
I got my MPX for under 1k :^)

But realistically, if you already have a glock, then those MechTech carbine kits (about 450bux) are supposed to be pretty cool
>>
I don't know but why are most pistol caliber carbines so fucking ugly
>>
>>32403121
What if you don't consider price.

What's better an MPX or a CX4?
>>
>>32403178
You can still find them. I've already got a .44 levergun and revolver so I don't think I can hold myself back from buying one for much longer
>>
>>32403191
Probably because its the shittiest of both world's combined.

having never handled the latter, it comes down to action type, ergonomics, and a s t h e t i c s

to me the MPX is pretty fugly, especially in a non SBR configuration
the CX4 is a direct blowback and the MPX is a gas blowback

>>32403228
it's not the same dammit

Hi-point
Disregard any concerns, enjoy surplus of bucks, send it back to the factory if you managed to break it
>>
Why the hell doesn't anyone make .44mag or .357 mag semi carbines? Those rounds are everywhere, they're powerful, and they're fun as hell to shoot. I know people get worried about using rimmed rounds in magazines, but my buddy's got a coonan and that thing feeds just fine
>>
anyone know off the top of their head what pistol 9mm carbines run beretta 92FS mags? i only know the beretta cx4

No demand for it.

These rounds might be everywhere and powerful but the contemporary thought on them is they're Revolver rounds so they only fit in Revolvers.
> Though they fit in a Lever action just fine, but Lever actions are like range toys. As in out on the range cowboy, as in Montana and Colorado. As in not many people consider Lever actions either.

The Coonan is a wonderful pistol but there's other loads for 45 x 1911s that duplicate the power so its literally just another handgun for shooting 357s.

There may be more than meets the eye about the Coonan or the Desert Eagle too, you dont see extended mags for these beasts (maybe a 10 rounder for DE). The fact they feed properly may have had a hell of alot of work go into it, and could represent half of the cost of that gun in terms of what it took to design it.

The answer to this is pic related, but nobody has tried anything with it in modern years yet. Frankly it may take someone making a cut down 6.5 grendel case before the auto magnum cartridge is reinvented.

Don't buy any Pistol Caliber Carbines until the middle of next year.

Then you will know which one is the best.
>>
>>32402894
Beretta Storm (available in both 92 and PX flavor, looks badass with a little shroud or fake silencer to cover the barrel)

Masterpiece Arms (Mac 10/Mac11 clones, but nicer, lots of options, pistols, rifles and SBRs, there's a few 5.7mm and Glock mag ones too, if that's your bag)

AR15 builds of whatever kind you fucking want (seriously)

Ruger PC9/PC4 (discontinued, but they still go below 1k)

Hi-Point (if on a budget, they work, and can be made nicer with some aftermarket parts if you want to go that route)

Sub2k (if you can find it)

Mixed parts and refurbished C96 Mauser pistol with it's holster (probably the least practical item on this list).

Glock 17 pistol with a MechTech carbine upper (surprisingly nice).

>>32403178
Camp 9 carbines are good, you can even share mags with a 5900 series S&W pistol (excellent guns), but the kicker is that they rely on a synthetic recoil buffer in the rear of the receiver, these dry up with age and the action will crack wooden stocks without it (which is why you often find them in plastic Choate stocks). Supposedly someone make these today, but mind it when looking for one.

See also the Camp45, same kind of gun in .45ACP, eating from 1911 mags
>>
>>32405316
The Hi-Points shoot straight as fuck, what the shit are you talking about?

Do you have real experience or do you just look at the pricetag and make up shit in your head? They explode, too, right?
>>
>>32403197
Probably the MPX, but enjoy the high price.

I'd love to have both, desu senpai.

>>32403305
It's short-stroke piston operated actually, with a rotating bolt, think kind of like an AR18 or HK416 but scaled down for pistol cartridges.

They do look absolutely abysmal in non-NFA packaging though.
>>
>>32405465
>Doubt.jpg
There are 16 on gunbroker now, most are ~$600 with only one or two being above $1000
>>32405196
wait did you just say that you can load a .45 to equal the power of a .357? And no one said you had to make a 30rd mag, just let it take coonan or desert eagle magazines
>>
>>32403527
I think maybe some variants of the Kel-Tec Sub2000 does, but I'm not sure.

>>32404962
Jesus Christ NO, it's made of AIDS

>>32405196
>but there's other loads for 45 x 1911s
Unless you mean maybe .45 Super, I seriously doubt it, .45ACP brass can barely handle +P loads

There's 10mm Auto, and .357 Sig, but they all have their own shortcomings.

And the Desert Eagle isn't strictly known for stellar reliability, you can get it running, just learn how to treat it (it's NOTHING like a Glock or 1911), not a combat weapon (though of all Magnum automatics, it still ends up on top, there's very good reasons you don't see designs like Wildey, AMT, or AMC anymore).
>>
>>32405549
There's two different Ruger .44 automatics, one which is closer to the Mini-14 in it's action.

The Deerstalker seems to go for more, while the Deerfield usually goes for less.
Also they're picky eaters, you'll end up only shooting real hot FMJ if you want it to behave at all.
>>
>>32405876
I've always wished there was a 50 caliber Desert Eagle carbine. That round makes so much more sense in a controllable carbine with a longer barrel.
>>
I saw a vz. 61 for $600 a few years ago. I don't know if they still go for that, but you could sbr it and come out at $800.
>>
>>32403144
I found out these existed while at a gunshop deep in the boonies. Browsing the shelves, I found fudd shotguns, and rifles a plenty. I was in disbelief when I saw one. Like I was in some alternate reality, because why would these ever have gone away? Why in the fuck aren't they making these? You can get stupid lever actions in .44 all day, but Ruger isn't making the .44 carbine anymore.
>>
>>32403121

Is there some way to rice it with a body kit? Because beretta's modern plastic styling is fugly.
>>
CX4 9mm or a CZ Scorpion?
>>
>>32407035
Because gas operation + Magnum handgun cartridges = picky eaters, from what I see, you'll basically want to handload for a weapon like this if you don't want to splurge on high quality ammo at every turn. It'll also stop cycling if you go and shoot unjacketed or other cast bullets, because lead shaves off in the gasport (this is impossible to fix without specialty tools or a gunsmith), so people get odd ideas about their reliability.

It's like, you can get a Desert Eagle running pretty well, but it'll take some dedication and money.

>>32407371
No, you're looking for a different gun altogether.

I'd suggest getting an SPP or TP9 and then getting a tax stamp, but those are costly.
>>
>>32407563
CX4, the Scorpion is really mediocre and not too well made.
